The 80s and 90s artstyle and animation in anime is my favourite. Of course anime these days is more polished, it looks more spectacular with all the 3D particle effects used in many shows these days and there are obviously incredibly animated shows but that old school style just looks more "defined" to me - I guess what you mean by "real". Also, I once upon a time threw the third song's live version into one of your music streams playlists :D It's VERY popular in Japan among people who grew up in the 90s.
