i remember watching some reactors that watched the beginning of this episode immediately thought thats Einar and they freaked out thinking that will be him in sometime later in the story lol

Snake really is a bit of a softie. He does care about the old master even if he doesn't like to say so. Thorfinn taking a liking to the Bible makes quite a bit of sense given his current views of never hurting anyone again, swearing off of violence no matter who it is. Maybe Thorfinn will start to incorporate Christian ideals into his life in the coming episodes and finally find something that he can believe in. The rest of the season, and the next four or five episodes in particular are going to be rough especially with the storyline for Arnheid and her husband coming up. Be prepared.
