TRS - Casefile #0083

EDWARD: Murderermarv asks: What are your thoughts on Mr. Zsasz's methods?

Zsasz is an interesting case, though that's rather a broad way of describing it. He's 'interesting', let's say, in the same way certain children are 'special'. Looking at him on the surface, one could almost be disappointed. We've become so used to the colourful method of crime in Gotham that a plain old serial killer - even one with an entertaining habit of self-mutilation - is almost dull. Unlike the Joker, or yours truly, his every moment isn't followed by the press. Especially since his crimes so often appear to your average murder; he doesn't even have a calling card. As a member of the Gotham criminal scene, he's a first-degree disappointment. That, in fact, is part of his genius. He's nowhere near my level, of course, but he has the animal cunning of a trapped rat and a single-minded dedication to his mission - as ridiculous as it is. He won't be winning any awards from me, especially since he apparently has no idea how to go about his business without getting caught. But he does get a consolation prize for effort. After all, is you measure criminal success by body count, he's a much better criminal than I am. I'm too obsessed with petty little things like money, and personal health, I suppose.
