Rija says- Important Commercial Usage Announcement (Patreon)

I've previously released a Commercial Usage Tier- the Ambassador. This tier was designed to allow my maps for commercial usage- everything from the maps being usable for streaming to inclusion in adventures you were planning to release was covered. 

Over the last month I've had a few realizations- 

1) I'm a small mapmaker. It's just me, I don't have a team working with me, and while I do have other mapmakers/asset makers that I interact with and feel supported by, I am ultimately a solo entity. 

2) That means that, while EpisodicMaps may not be a hugely popular patreon or source of maps, the amount of people that are beginning to utilize my maps is growing- and I simply do not have the resources or time to fully enforce my terms for commercial usage.

3) This is compounded by my decision to sell my maps through Drivethrurpg as well.

Does this suck? A bit. Combined with discovering the pirating of my maps it has caused me a bit of stress.

I enjoy mapmaking too much to allow this to put a damper on it. I've finally got back to a semi-reliable release scheduled, and things seem to be looking up.

So, I have decided that commercial usage is not the hill I am going to die on with this. 

Starting in August, Streams containing my maps in which the streamer is deriving monetary gains, whether for themselves or for a group or organization, will be permitted under my current commercial usage without needing to be subscribed to the Ambassador tier. This still does not allow the non-remade Dawn of Defiance maps to be used commercially.
