I love it. I think God can handle the criticism. A lot of people who claim to have a Christian faith have done a lot of shady shit to hurt a lot of other people for literal centuries. I think Lil Nas X, as a queer POC, is perfectly entitled to put the broken and grotesque human side of religion in its place. It doesn't hurt God or Jesus to have someone point out that the institution has failed massively and often in ways that have been devastating to the exact people the bible would command Christians to love. And I say all that as a queer Christian myself.
