This was utterly silly, extremely camp and very funny. I think I laughed almost as much as you guys. Loved it and absolutely no idea where it’s going! And Josh, you do look like a maid in that outfit. The bandana worn like a headscarf might have something to do with it. Just saying…😂❤️

I'm so glad you're reacting to this... I cant wait for your reactions as the amount of representation in this unfolds throughout... clue: Jim is not "a girl". Kristian Nairn who plays wee john/hodor is gay IRL and witnessed a serious hate crime against the community when he was young and still not out. He experienced a lot of trauma as a result. Stede Bonnet is played by Rhys Derby who is close friends with Taika Waititi and in loads of his films including the original film of "What we do in the shadows". He's a very famous comedian from New Zealand...

I noticed and certainly care but the guys have been working so hard getting the new content out that I wanted to be patient. Maybe this next Heartstopper episode is one of the ones that they needed to do the reaction to again. Hang in there, they’re not gonna forget about the Heartstopper gang.

ahh so excited! i remember first seeing this and being surprised but happy that the show acknowledged the fact that Stede not only hired a pirate crew on salary but that he chose a very racially diverse one in a time where hiring, paying, and closely interacting with non-white people was absolutely not the done thing. not a thread they drop either, and it certainly rings true in the sense that found family is often people you share some things with but who all have their own intersections of identity, too.

Yes I've seen a lot of requests for it, and understandably so, and I have even requested it myself or comment ed someone post, but maybe since uncut Heartstopper videos are a little slow, They might have a lot on their plate, some of those videos also got lost, so they have to film some of them again, and therefor I personally don't request anything more for now Untill next poll, so they don't have too much to do. 🙂

Excited you are starting this series! No spoilers, but in my opinion it only gets better from here. Rhys Darby (the captain Stede) is from New Zealand, I’m not sure what you might have seen him in, but he’s done a lot of things, like What we do in the shadows, flight of the conchords, Jumanji, Yes Man, etc. Fun fact, he’s been very good friends with Taika Waititi for years, and they’ve worked together on quite a few projects in the past as well. It’s nice to see fellow kiwis getting their spotlight! Since you were commenting on the accents, I found it really cool how diverse this crew is - like you said, it’s very much a found family kind of vibe, with everyone coming from different places and walks of life.

One of the things I love about watching the uncut episodes is that I don’t have to have watched it first (or bothered to find out where it’s streaming 😂). I probably wouldn’t have even heard of this and I loved that first episode, so thank you.
