Behold! The new WhisperAudios Studio upgrade! 

I had this installed after xmas but I realised that I haven't shared this with you yet! What with everything going on with Miko I just straight up forgot haha

As the new studio looks out over a busy-ish street I knew right away that I needed to start 'blocking' as much sound as I could to minimise disruptions throughout the day. 

I looked into triple glazing, acoustic glass and secondary glazing...and I spent weeks before we moved in trying to find a cost effective solution with companies quoting me over £8k for my two very small windows! 

Finally I found a company who would do both my windows (replacing the glass with acoustic glass AND secondary glazing) for under £1k. They were really great and even added extra touches to the frames to make them even more soundproof (which I didn't ask for but appreciated!) 

The secondary glazing lifts right out so you can still pull the blinds and open the windows so its very user friendly. 

Really really happy with the results! Its not 100% soundproof but it as significantly reduced sound from the outside so I can record in (relative) peace! Its been really great so far!
