I, and I imagine many listeners, am a teacher. Recently my 3rd grade Drama students performed our slapstick version of the infernal machine plot. Everyone wanted to play the little girl. So I would like to hear about the education system. When you said Napoleon chose every principal, it made me curious about how he expanded and altered education in the empire. Was it always as bad as Brienne? Did education become more accessible, and did anyone care? How did education change when it passed out of Church hands? Did France create an Enlightenment-based curriculum? Cheers ~ Brian.

How did armies of this era organize themselves to rest at night when they were on the march? Did they stick together in one large mass or split off into smaller camps, and did they arrange themselves in any particular way to defend against threats like night ambushes?
