Adventurer Registration

The next Rilfana brought in was normal attire.

She was wearing a simple Y-shirt that was loose so as not to emphasize her breasts. Her navy blue skirt was also slender and simple.

To make the loose-fitting garment look more stylish, she seems to have tied it around her waist with a string to make an X-line.

This kind of thing is fine.

What was that earlier?

"Wouldn't a belt be better than a string?"

"Leather is getting expensive now! The Adventurer's Guild doesn't seem to be stocking it."

Leather can also be obtained from animals such as cows.

The town of Gardia also buys animals from other nearby villages, like vegetables from Feld Village, but the main purpose is meat.

The amount of animal hides alone is too small to supply the entire town, and this includes the amount used in the village.

In this world, it is common practice to take materials such as cloth and leather from monsters. The monsters that humans can hunt are those that are necessary for daily life.

It is a question of whether humans are more resilient or whether it is more difficult for monsters to survive in this world.

In general, the adventurers' guilds buy the monsters they kill, process them, and sell them wholesale to the merchants' guilds. Since many monsters, notably wolves, have fur, it is unusual for the supply to be so low.

However, neither the adventurers' guilds nor the merchants' guilds seem to be particularly concerned about the situation, as it is not a crisis at this point.

I think that wolves from the southern forests might sell for a high price, but I won't be active as an adventurer for a while yet, so I don't think it's any of my business.

"Then how about making one out of thicker cloth?"

"I see! I'll think about it.

The elf shopkeeper's eyes twinkled at my alternative idea, and she pulled out a notepad from her apron and began to draw something.

"Oh, but if it takes too long, I might be out of town..."

"I'll make it tomorrow!"

I'll need to have them coordinate the clothes I'm buying, and I can pick them up in bulk.

"Thank you very much!"

I asked them to get rid of the rags and tatters and let Rilfana wear the clothes that didn't need to be adjusted for size.

Claire also asked me to adjust the size of the items she saw while trying them on, and I decided to pick up all of Rilfana's clothes tomorrow, except for the ones she is wearing now and the ones she might need today. I put the items in my magic bag.

"Thank you, Mina-sama, for all that stuff."

"Are you sure you don't mind, sis?"

"It was a hassle to try them on when I'm wearing protective gear. I'll take a look tomorrow when I come by.

I had some money that my father gave me, but I was worried about the price if I bought a lot, so I decided not to. The total payment was three large silver coins. The elf shopkeeper gave me a discount, saying that she had been "Inspired by the various things I have done".

She also gave Rilfana a bath, so it was a good thing that the store was a good place, even if it was a strange shopkeeper.

I also bought Rilfana a maid's outfit for work.

Not the sexy one I bought earlier, but the classical one!

However, I feel this world is very unbalanced.

It may be a common thing in online games, but despite the seeming fantasy world, the technology seems to be quite advanced when you look at the magic machines and sewing.

I have a little hope that there may be other reincarnated players like me developing somewhere, and that we may be able to meet.

Well, even if that were not the case, it would still be a good thing for me because it would simply make my life easier.

Instead, it may be difficult to earn money with soap and mayonnaise, which are the steel plate of reincarnated products. I have no knowledge of how to make them, except for my knowledge of novels.

"Next, let's go to the Adventurers' Guild."

"Yes."

"Yes."

The Adventurers' Guild was located in a corner facing the central square.

The wooden door opens to a counter in the back, and tables and chairs are lined up in the space in front, where you can have a quick chat with the staff.

It is a common story in novels that people get tangled up with strange, low-class adventurers. I went to the counter a little nervous.

At the counter sat a girl who looked to be about seven years old.

"I have a delivery for you from Feld Village.

"Yes! Are you acting for Mark-san?"

When I put the letter out on the counter, the reply was not like a little girl, despite her cute voice. She was probably not as old as she looked, since she worked as a receptionist for the Adventurers' Guild.

But I wonder what my dad is doing in town, even though his name was known at the gate.

The girl at the reception desk writes something down on a piece of paper and puts it on the counter.

"Here is the receipt, please give it to Mark-san or the village head of Feld Village."

"Ye, yes. I'd like to register the three of us as adventurers."

"Oh!"

The girl looked at us as if she were assessing us, then called out to Rilfana.

"According to the Adventurers' Guild, you must be at least 12 years old to register."

"I am almost 15 years old."

""Eh?""

Claire and I were surprised at the same time, we thought she was about 12 years old....

"Mina-sama and Claire-sama are terrible..."

Becoming an adventurer is easy.

Apparently all you have to do is write your name and age on an application form, submit it, and they check to see if you are a criminal or not.

If you can't write, they usually ask you to write for them at the counter. All three of us can read and write, so there is no problem.

Rilfana seemed to have a good upbringing from the ladylike tone she displayed when she got down to business, so I wondered if she was the daughter of a merchant family that dealt with the nobility or perhaps of a noble family.

"Well then, take a turn and put your hand on this."

The receptionist girl produced a thick cloth and placed a clear crystal ball with a light blue tinge on it on the counter.

Rilfana placed her hand on it and the crystal glowed and immediately subsided.

Claire and I, in turn, experienced the same phenomenon. It wasn't much different, but Claire seemed to have a slightly duller light?

"You three have a very beautiful light, don't you? It is a tool to see the magic power, and it is said that the stronger the light is, the more qualities you have as an adventurer. By the way, if you are a criminal, it glows red or black, so that means you guys are OK."

Am I the only one who wonders how these magical items are strictly judged?

The girl put away the crystal ball and took out a thin silver card. It has a small circular hole in the corner. It seems to be a hole through which a chain chain, which is sold separately, can be inserted.

"This card is the proof of an adventurer. "This card is your proof of being an adventurer," he said. If you can't manipulate magic, you can put a drop of blood on it. After you register, check your name and rank just to be sure.

As I poured magic power onto the card, the silver card was covered with a pattern of light blue and green, like a flowing wind.

The name "Mina" and rank "E" appear on the card, with a crossed sword and staff in the lower right corner and a wing symbol in the background. This is the crest that hangs at the entrance to the Adventurers' Guild, and it also seems to indicate where the card is registered.

Claire likewise channeled her magic power. The silver card turned a faint golden color. The card my dad showed me a long time ago was a reddish-brown color.

"If you lose it or break it, you're supposed to get a large silver coin to reissue it, so take good care of it. Also, it's not mandatory to participate, but on the day of the gods, I give a lecture upstairs to new adventurers. Unless you are starting out with senior adventurers, please listen as much as you can. I don't want you to get into unnecessary trouble or die in vain."

"My father said I only have to register this time, so I'll come and listen to the lecture before I start my activities."

"I see. I'll come back and ask you before I start my activities." "Okay. Be aware that if you don't use it in the Adventurers Guild for three years, it will expire and be reissued.

"Okay."

Rilfana is looking at the card and tilting her head.

"What's wrong?"

"It doesn't change color like Mina's or Claire's."

Rilfana's card remained silver. The name and rank were still displayed.

"Hou. It's a system that changes color according to the attribute of the magic power you channeled. Maybe you're suited to non-attribute."

"I see."

Rilfana again channeled the magic power, and it changed to blue. She continued to replace it with green, red, and brown, and then returned to silver.

"I was just told to flow magic power, so it seems I unconsciously poured out my non-attribute."

"At your age, you manipulate magic perfectly..."

"I've been good at manipulating magic since I was little!"

Rilfana boasted proudly. Since I've dressed in a way that makes the weapon inconspicuous, I'd appreciate it if you don't emphasize it.

The adventurer's card is dyed in the color of the attribute it bled when it shed its magic power. It is said that the color can change as the growth level increases through adventures and training, and it does not matter what color it is.

Rilfana said, "I'll keep it the same as Mina-sama and Claire-sama," smiling as she drew beautiful lines of light blue and green on the gold-like base. I wonder if she can design freely when she can manipulate magic power.

Rilfana, you have cheats, don't you?

There are a lot of B-level people who decorate their rooms as they please, but this is the first time I've seen someone who does whatever they want after registration."

The girl at the reception desk added as she looked at him. It doesn't look like a cheat, does it?

"Oh, yes. I'd like to know where the inn is and where I can get money for the things I picked up at the ruins."

"An inn. Yes, I recommend the first inn on the left after leaving the guild towards the west gate on the main street to the women. It is a little more expensive than the other inns, but all the rooms have baths. The cashier's shop is in the building next to the inn, including materials for monsters, things that will stain the surroundings if you take them out, and things so big you can't climb the stairs. Magic items and antiques are accepted here on the second floor."

"Thank you. I'll go there."

"Oh. I know I'm late, but the Adventurers Guild welcomes new adventurers!"

The girl gripped her right hand, bent her horizontal arm, and stopped just short of touching her left shoulder. It was a familiar movement, or so it seemed.

Is this an adventurer's greeting?

"This is the greeting of the Adventurers' Guild of Gardia. It's not at all popular, so you don't have to memorize it."

The girl explained with a grin. It never became popular...
