Rione immediately informed everyone that a meeting will be held because a new oracle was delivered.

Then every member in charge of the conference came to the temple, and immediately wrote down the contents of the oracle and was sent to messengers heading to the villages under development. This is part of a set.

It wasn’t impossible for us to directly inform the developing villages, but doing so would reduce the value of the queen Rione. If Queen Shrine Maiden Rione’s authority wavers, my ability would as well. That would result in nothing but a suicidal act.

If the country was rich and peaceful, the King and subordinates would usually become utter fools. However, in our current state, if the top doesn’t work diligently, the country would become sloppy. If left as is, the nation itself would collapse.

Hence, the First Queen Rione had that much of a grave responsibility.

The snail-type water well on that can be made flat ground. The method was to dig deeply in a spiral shape like a whirlpool. And in this case, the center of the spiral becomes the deepest area.

The farmer-cum-soldier system was implemented as the labor force which would only be drafted in emergencies. For now, there weren’t any labor shortages and like before it was only the number of people increasing is the main problem, so I could say the population is certainly growing.

「Ah, there’s something I’d like to request of the new village.」

「Itanyu-sama, what is it?」

「Please tell them to build a temple to worship Faltear-sama and myself, it won’t matter even if it’s a small temple」

「You, that is quite a shrewd plan you have there……」

Certainly, a religious facility is one of the essential things needed by a developing village. In the continent where I came from, there was a religious facility made no matter how small a village is. It is one of the main elements that tie the regions together.

Two years passed since the kingdom was formed, the number of villages had considerably increased. On the other hand, New Kathra became more like a capital with various shops lining up. It was no longer a village, and was more of a town.

As the claim that no Beast-men were discriminated against, various people who received harsh treatment from the empire and other countries fled to this place. As the Beast-men kingdom was still expanding, the increase in the labor force wasn’t a much of a problem. As a matter of fact, we are willing to accept even more.

Because businesses become profitable as population increases, merchants from faraway places started to come. Travelers can also use it as a relay point while travelling. The land that was once ridiculed as a region of death was now a prospering, agricultural nation.

However, prospering also means trouble.

In this regards, Itanyu is more sensitive to such information compared to myself.

「It seems that caravans have often visited this village」

One day, Itanyu-sama told me that.

「Well, there are merchants grouping up as caravans. That would increase the security for their travels. 」

Moving alone may get your goods stolen by a thief but with ten or so people you will be able to deal with it.

In deserts and plains, they build small trading villages for merchants and travellers alike, as there are many people who proactively travel. It is a community that live solely by trading.

「With such a wide range, of course something would happen!」

It’s the same as saying anything could happen in 30 years.

「Listen well: you cannot obediently trust a merchant. It’s the same even for Beast-men, even more so as the people of this Beast-men kingdom are too kind-hearted. Sooner or later there will be having painful experiences……」

—and something like a prayer resounded in my head. This is what happens when someone earnestly prays to god! Dedicated prayers become telepathy to god.
