You decide to venture deeper into the forest. Almost immediately you notice that the birds have stopped chirping, and the forest has grown still. The smell of death hits you almost immediately as you stumble upon the two cow carcasses. Val and you halt, trying to access the situation but before you you have much time to think the troll emerges from behind a near by tree. He snarls, seeming to think you were trying to steal his dinner. Do you, retreat and try to form a plan of attack or draw your sword and try to get the first strike in?
