End of the Year report, 2023 (Patreon)

So we've come to the end of 2023, and it's been quite the year here at Smilodon Studio.  As per usual there was a plethora of words that were written with three Iron Pens and a number of Cafe Day words.  We also had a good year when it comes to the game development aspect as we took the collaborative efforts with Raven and have created Talon, Tooth, and Paw along with Darkwitt.  We also have half a dozen books that were published with another six on the way.

We also got two websites that we have developing at the moment with Black Phoenix Productions for the adult stuff and Smilodon Studio taking care of all our general work.  We also rebranded the twitch stream from the Sabredrone Network to the Sabrewolf Cafe.  While our physical sales and convention selling took a dip we made up for it in bolstering our digital offerings and continuing to work things with the store itself.  In all it was a very productive 2023 and it's mostly thanks to you guys that we can keep funding the projects and business that create the content that you enjoy.

So what's in store for 2024?  With the new and revamped tiers comes new content along with the stories that will be written.  As I have mentioned previously we are pulling away from publishing books, which won't really affect this patreon too much but will see less coming up on the KDP/Amazon offering.  As of right now the pie chart is mostly commission writing, but I'm looking to change that as we are shifting to other things including personal writing projects that you've signaled you want to see.

Other projects that are in the works is the move to twine projects and CYOA's; with Talon, Tooth, and Paw launching its own thing I'll be doing other games that are far more into the realm of text-based adventure.  The other big project, or projects rather, is the webcomic series that are coming up really soon.  We have a multitude of different themes that are going to be putting out here and hopefully it will help with my comic scripting and bring more attention to this patreon.  Finally I do want to do a bit more with twitch/youtube, but as usual this is more of a tertiary desire and one that is more of a hobbyist thing then anything you might see here other than announcements.

Well that's it, hopefully I didn't ramble on too long.  ^. .^  As we move on to the 2024 and our sixth year doing Smilodon Studio I'm looking forward to working my very hardest to deserve the support that you all give!
