The Changes to Smilodon Studio (Patreon)

So one of the big things that we were trying to do was to move out of the current living situation we were in so we could expand our ability to do youtube movies.  We've been saving up for a deposit and looking around for a few different areas.  When we met with a financial officer on what we could do however we learned some bad news.  Given the types of houses we were looking at and the fact that we already own a home (the condo) we found a lot of opportunities we were looking to take advantage of were not available.  If we did get a house we would need to take the equity from our condo to get the down payment and would result in having to siphon a lot of the resources from this patreon just to keep our expenses managable.

So in essence, there will be no new Sabrewolf Den for quite some while.

So, the big question is where the funds from patreon and my commission pushes are going to go.  In essence Smilodon Studio will still be moving... to the basement.  We're taking our den and moving it to the living room and I'm taking over the basement, and we're taking the money that we had saved for a down payment and will be reinvesting it in the business to kit out the new space.  Not only are we creating the studio but also doing a workshop in the other room separate from it and also we're planning to make more expansions to the kitchen to do cooking videos despite the space.

The remaining money is going directly back into Rain and Shine and book covers, along with issue five of Void Protocol after the build-out.  The plan to focus on game development and twitch/youtube and away from the writing, and along with the new overlay for twitch I think we're going to have a lot of fun in the year ahead.  Once the build-out of the basement, kitchen, and workshop are done we'll definitely be showing it off.  As my mate said if we're going to stay here for the next few years, we may as well make it the best.
