After a lot of trial and error, I thought to be close to the finished product... but then everything went wrong.. :(

The first image shows the Selvadorada rock recolor without moss on both the rock climbing cliff as well as the surrounding rocks. On the second image I've already changed the surrounding rocks into the mossy look and started experimenting with a mossy look for the cliff.

As the other rocks show some sort of smaller moss all around the rocks too, I've added a bit more what resulted into the third screenshot. I then thought that the moss on the rock edges wasn't visible enough anymore, so made them more vibrant which makes them to come out of it all much more. At this point I was quite happy with it, though I felt it needed to be a bit darker overall. That's when all went wrong and I ended up with a totally screwed up photoshop file which I couldn't restore. Normally I also make multiple save files of an object when I'm happy at some point, but forgot to do that in this case...

So I know have to start all over again with the mossy look.

The true difficulty in recoloring this cliff is that the climbing parts are a completely different texture then the non-climbing parts. This makes the edges of these parts extremely hard to overlap in a realistic way with the moss added. It also not always clear to me where a certain part of the object has been colored on the texture file.

So I hope a new mossy look can be shared soon..
