Animelee Early Release - Battlefield (Patreon)

Enjoy this patron-only early release of Animelee Battlefield!  

Hugely inspired by Akira and the cyberpunk aesthetic from Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner - plus a bit of influence from the signage down in Vegas

Pulled a bunch of tricks to get this one to work the way I want:

The lightbulbs + glow effect on the stage are done through texture animations and are separate objects. I put them in sync to give the illusion of the glow being cast by the lightbulbs themselves.

The spinning globe is another example of a joint animation, using the exact same principles as the moving clouds in the Dreamland skin. I also added the neon glow to the texture of the metal behind the neon, so that it looks like it's glowing from the neon itself.

The city is an import of the Fourside background with some of the effects disabled to make the buildings darker/moodier.

Learning a lot about 3D in general working on these which has been super rewarding.
