Magical Girl Homura Akemi Cosplay Preview (Patreon)

Hi, everyone! I’m super excited to share the finished cosplay for my second Homura design! If you missed it, I’m doing 12 versions of Homura in 2024 in anticipation for the new Madoka movie that is set to be released at the end of the year. I’ll be sharing one cosplay each month! January’s design was glasses Homura in her school uniform.

For February, I’ll be debuting the magical girl version of glasses Homura at Zipcon this weekend. The cosplay I used as a base was from DokiDoki Cosplay and I added a bunch of accessories! I always have fun using my vinyl cutter to make designs, which is what I used to make the roman numerals for the belt and headband.

I’m also obsessed with how the shoes turned out because I think Homura would travel through time in style. If magical girls were real, their clothes would definitely be fancy and over the top. I love adding lots of details to my cosplays and shoes with colored bottoms have always caught my eye.

I will share better photos after the weekend and I’m so excited to share the finished cosplay!
