The Weverse higher ups did eventually cut the live lol, it just took them a while to do it

I feel like you maybe underestimated how good of a dancer JK is because you have always been so focused on jimin and j-hope being the dancers but JK has always been an insanely good dancer and is part of the dance line as well

JK actually fell asleep 2 times on Live. The first one was accidental because he was so tired and wanted to rest for a bit but fell asleep while lying down. The Weverse staff cut that one pretty quickly but we knew he was sleeping because he snored a little bit. The second time he was planning to fall asleep on Live. He said the staff would go crazy again so he started the live at like 6 or 7 in the morning KST because the Weverse staff wouldn't be expecting him to go live at that time and they were probably sleeping. He slept for about 25min before the staff noticed and cut the live off.

Jk was always good at dancing since debut and he just got better over the years I think, especially the last couple of years his charisma shines even more than before. But if you look at Begin from the Wings Tour in 2017 for example, he could dance complex choreographies well even then. I just think that he grew more and more comfortable in his own skin, like you said, especially the last year since their "hiatus" because he has more time to explore himself. He started so young at 13 away from his home and had to grow up in front of the world without having the privacy and time to properly explore who he is as an adult and now he finally got that time. It seems this chapter 2 is very important for all of the BTS members to properly explore their personalties and art, but especially JK since he started far younger than the others.

The reason Jimmy is thanking Jungkook/bts for always coming on his show is because bts dropped pretty much all other american/western shows after a couple years of promoting in america lol. They always come back to Jimmy Fallon because they like being on Jimmy Fallon :) Also I don't think he has necessarily gotten better at dancing, of course he always improves (all the members do, they work too hard not to) but I think good choreography that was made to show off his skills is the biggest difference :D

For when you do the album listen later, I highly recommend also watching the Jungkook interview with Zane Lowe on apple music that was released today! It’s about 30 minutes long and is already in my top three favourite western bts interviews ever. (Especially since outside of suchwita and livestreams, it’s rare to hear jk talk so in depth with all the focus on him, and the interviewer did a great job with the questions and creating a comfortable atmosphere.)
