Paused the video to answer the question: “Do you think Bang Chan is the most physically affectionate in Stray Kids?” The answer is NO. Bang Chan is a very physically affectionate person but one member has him beat by a huge margin. He’s the cute little sunshine boy with the demon voice Felix 🥰🥰🥰

Haha good call! Perhaps it’s more conscious with Chan and more unconscious with Felix? Like Felix just wants to naturally cuddle all the time it seems, it’s almost as if when he feels close to someone, he naturally seems to cozy up. It’s almost instinctual/second nature it feels like. He’s so comfortable in that mode — whereas maybe Chan is more like “dude check this out” or “you’re so silly I can’t believe you said that” while touching you, or even touching you while talking about you. He wants you to know that he’s there/with you and that he’s thinking of you/hears you (although Felix does that too lol). Anyway I could be a bit off — but just some thoughts.

Yeah what you said definitely encompasses a lot of who chan is as a leader. He’s almost too aware, but it’s probably a good thing in his role. And you know, old habits die hard. Back when he had 4+ training years on them and the 3/4 life years on most of them was more prominent (16-20 vs 22-25 is quite different since they’re maknae line heavy—the youngest 4 are the same international age most of the year), it was very needed as the one responsible for them. He probably has it down to a fine art now. Appreciate that they were keeping up running jokes from the other interviews they filmed that day…and i wish hans “we’re still growing, not in height but we’re growing” comment was louder😭 On physical affection- Ill say it again, being the least physically affectionate member in skz isn’t a win, the standard for least affectionate is on the floor😭 personal space is not a concept for most of them. These days I’d go felix->han->chan->changbin/hyunjin->leeknow->seungmin->i.n but it could be argued other ways. For chan it’s usually giving affection, for felix and han it’s a need, lee know is getting a rise out of people or giving comfort, seungmin is trying to bother them, it’s more varied from hyunjin/changbin, and jeongin is sick and tired of them (he secretly likes it). It’s definitely played a big role in their bonding. Fair to assume it helped them establish their comfort when they weren’t as familiar and I’d say for felix in particular was necessary when the language barrier made it hard for him to express his feelings other ways. And even now—they’re all quite independent, have pretty different interests/personalities, enjoy personal time, etc.. and they let eachother be.. but they’re gonna be in eachothers space. They can’t help it🤝 It’s cute how much comfort it seems to bring them

Yeah I think you have it there max. The motivations are different. The older members are more conscious of it, the ones in the middle naturally want it, and the younger members just like being annoying. figures🤣

Great reaction again! I think this interview is one of many they did on a single press junket day, and its pretty interesting to see how the vibe and energy levels of each member shifts across the different interviews (ie, GQ and Seventeen). Chan was in good form that day for sure haha

hm just had a thought about chans camera skills while watching a compilation, he probably is incredibly comfortable and skilled in engaging the camera/audience partially because he’s been doing weekly livestreams for 4.5 years now🫡 he’s got like 200-300 hours of solo lives and he knows how to keep it going and be interesting. that must help. he’s like a part time youtubers/streamer at this point😭

100% agree. I think Felix walks into a room and by default finds someone to cuddle/massage/etc. It’s almost like a gravitational pull 😂 Chan (at least from what I’ve seen) is a little more selective depending on his mood. In SKZ-Talkers Chan can usually be seen in the background by himself working. However, when he’s in a good, playful mood he’s always touching everyone around him (or tackling Seungmin. He seems to like tackling Seungmin and hugging a reluctant Lee Know). I may be wrong, but I think Chan likes physical affection but a lot of it is also about getting a reaction. It’s more of a conscious thing.

Changbin seems quite down and also a little bit anxious? maybe .. or he's just simply tired. (anyway definitely he's not that active and playful as usual) and I think Chan is sensing that and he's unconsciously (or maybe consciously) trying to make Changbin feel safe and can be eased

The most physically affectionate are Felix and Han. I love this comeback because this album is really one of their best releases. BUT I want it to be over. The only reason is Han Jisung. Don't know if you've watched enough concent to notice but he really isn't himself lately. No jokes, no genuine smiles and if you pay attention, the guys are often near him, trying to be there for him. If you would watch more of their live stages, fancams of Han, SKZ talker, etc. you can see him being down and having a hard time. I personally think it's just the stress around the comeback because there's just so much to do, so many events and videos to record, a lot of people, etc. It could be also his anxiety and I know that he had a cold few weeks ago... I just hope it'll end soon so he can rest. All of them. Comebacks are often really tiring for idols.

Bang Chan sets such an amazing tone for the members as well as for STAY. I am pretty sure he is the main reason for the kindness and generel acceptence and appreciation of everybody in this group. It may sound very fangirly (and I admit that might play a part), but as a leader of a group of pretty weird and very talented young men he definitely has succeded in bringing out the very best of his guys. And the way the guys clearly respect him, but also clearly love and trust him is fascinating to me.

Felix and Han (the Sunshine Twins) love the physical affection the most it seems. Lee Know, IN, and Hyunjin might be seen acting like they don’t like the physical affection. Changbin is who everyone feels comfortable coming to him when seeking affection. Everyone in the whole group are cuddly bugs tho. Stays often joke about them having separation anxiety cuz they go everywhere with one another even to the bathroom. There are pictures at the awards and variety shows of all of them leaving together for a bathroom break.

I saw an Australian react to them once and he said that physical affection was very Australian of Chan and Felix so I wonder how much of that physical touch difference is cultural vs personality
