Great kickin it with everyone on the livestream earlier this morning :)

We started off w/ the new Agust D track followed by the RoB Chapter 20 + Deleted Scenes, JK reacting to Jimin, Jimin's new Vogue video as well as an Anpanman performance (because why not).

I wasn't sure how I felt about people pt 2 at first (and I was distracted by yoongi's beauty in the MV lol) as it's not really the kind of music I would normally enjoy but I should know by now that BTS can make me love any genre cause it's really grown on me and I find myself really connecting with some of the lyrics too which is no surprise as yoongi's lyrics generally always hit me. I love IU's bit too. And I'm glad you finally feel comfortable admitting that you are indeed a Yoongi bias, I did think it might have been Joon at one point though lol.

I love the fake love era, I'm a sucker for the emo-vampire-esque aesthetic and the choreo is too good and adds to the storytelling of the song, I often come back to the performances. Also Anpanman always slaps and I'll never get tired of their energy and genuine enjoyment, it's so addictive. I get what you mean by wondering if Jimin loves dancing because with Hobi there's like no doubt in my mind that he loves dance with all of his being because he's very vocal about it but jimin isn't as vocal and I think maybe that's just how jimin is with anything. But I also wonder if dance is like a blessing and a curse for Jimin especially given his background of intense technical training and perfectionism and also the fact that he seems to suffer from a lot of pain when he dances. He has been very vocal about singing during recent promo and wanting to improve and be better and perhaps that's because he already feels really confident with dance and he tends to focus on where he thinks he's lacking or maybe he worries about reaching his limit/passing his prime with dance. Loved the little spontaneous reactions but I'm sorry to say that I watched that jimin vogue video before watching your recording lol didn't expect that you would react to it but I actually do remember thinking that you'd probably enjoy it. I still feel like I'm discovering new things about Jimin especially as he becomes more comfortable with himself, he has a lot of very endearing quirks. You have to watch him on Lee Mujin's service some time, he did a stripped down version of Like Crazy.

For a Jungkook live I still recommend the one from last year, where he’s camping on the beach talking to Army for 30 minutes. https://youtu.be/2GDgNN-qW4U The recent lives he has done are a bit long and he spends a lot of time listening to music and just vibing so there might not be so much conversation to analyse. Just my opinion.

You asked at some point if we are listening to the music or we read the lyrics most of the times. I watch the MVs and/or the translation at first (2-3 times), but if I like a song, I usually put it in my playlist so I am mostly enjoying the melody having in mind what the song is about. In a way it's the natural thing to do for me and it doesn't bother me not to understand the lyrics especially because this is almost a the rule (growing up), being a nonnative English speaker. Now I know English, but we are used to consume western music, 80-90% of times in English, which I didn't know when I was a child. This is probably one of the reasons I think it's easier to be opened to listen to music in other languages.

A few of the things Jimin has said about his relationship with dancing over the years: -Dance is my own world and my own space -Dancing is something I can really immerse myself into. It makes me feel free and happy. -Dancing is the best answer. -While dancing I can move more freely and happy without any thoughts. -When I dance I feel more secure than before. I can feel the strength in my core and I can feel the center of my body getting better. Jimin talked often over the years about how much dancing means to him and how much he loves it.

it was funny how the discussion about Jimin's favorite artist came about as if Jimin wasn't fanboying over Taeyang for the whole moth of January when their collab dropped.

Oh and I don't think Namjoon learned english just from 'friends" and as an adult. Koreans do learn english in school and when RM was talking about "friends" in Carpool Karaoke, he said that it "really helped him out", so I wouldn't assume he learned it from 0 just by watching the series. Another thing, when Namjoon was 12, he lived in New Zealand for about 4 months, I assume it was school exchange. In 2010, when he was 15, he took a TEPS exam and his score was 797 out of 990 which means "advanced level of communicative competence". In 2021 he took another exam (just for fun as he said) called TOEIC and he scored 915 out of 990, meaning International professional proficiency.
