In the second half of our livestream today I checked out Dimash Kudaibergen for the first time. Also checked a really dope song from Japanese artist, Fujii Kaze, Stray Kids' new 'First Take' track, and a cool R&B throwback type of song from EXO.

Hey Max, I have been a part of your community for ages now but I'm more of a silent viewer. Just wanted to drop a comment to say that I am always loving your reactions and even if I don't comment often, there are very few reactions I miss. Dimash was the person that helped me to become more open to listening to music in different languages. Because of him, I actually got into kpop lol random!! Dimash definitely is phenominal that's for sure. And of course our SKZ babies are always doing so well. Thanks for all your hard work Max xx

‘What is love’ only had Baekhyun and D.O singing, so it makes sense you wouldn’t hear rapping in that one

Good question LOL! I can’t pick a favourite, but the groups I am actively following are Stray Kids, BTS, Ateez, P1harmony, Seventeen, Monsta X, Xdinary Heroes, and XG (girl group from Japan). I also try to check out as many other groups as I can but it’s a lot of content to take in 🤣

Thank you for the reactions! It’s been a long time since I listened to Dimash, but he really is an impressive singer. I’m a classical singer myself, and he can hit notes that are difficult even for me! But you’re right that having that background in music and vocal training etc really adds a different level of appreciation, just listening to him navigate his voice so well from one range to the next and jumping intervals like he does. Truly iconic. It’s funny that you say he doesn’t flex his ability, because there is another performance on that same Chinese reality show where he sang SOS where he absolutely does that, Opera 2. https://youtu.be/anKmU1J0l9g If you feel inclined, give it a listen, or all his performances on that show. If it's the same Bacalar I know (if I got the name right), that is the location of the show BTS' V is in and that is airing right now : Jinny's Kitchen! It's not an island though, it's a town and a lake/lagoon so I might be wrong about it. Still, that would be an amazing coincidence 😀
