Heartstopper Communication Skills (uncut)

Serendipity! I literally just finished watching HeartStopper over the weekend, and yes it would totally be worth watching on Netflix. Kit was right, it's a really lovely, warm, positive show and I think the author/writer is a phenomenal writer too.

I watched the show the first week it came out and was so happy that is was such a huge success. I knew the Web comic and other books by Alice, the author, for a few years now.

Charlie (from Heartstopper) was Joes first big acting role. Kit has been acting for over a decade now and I think that’s why he seems more comfortable in front of the camera.

OMG Heartstopper is so good!! Please react to more of their interviews - maybe with more of the cast too

I love the show 🥰

Would also love to see more interviews from this cast and these two!

I saw a lot of people make these comments on the YouTube video as well, but I think Joe is much more extroverted than he comes across in this video. He’s quite witty and sardonic and has some biting humor. This interview was one of the first they did as part of their media day when the show was released, so I think it was all still new and overwhelming for Joe, whereas Kit is more used to the interviews and needing to “put it on” for the cameras. There’s some really great interviews and segments with all of the cast. One of my favorites is the one where the creator of the comics & show, Alice Oseman, teaches the cast how to draw some of the characters. And one of the fan favorites is the tour of London Joe and Kit do together. I would suggest you consider reacting to the show, maybe as a Patreon exclusive if you don’t want to deal with copyright. It’s only eight episodes and they’re short. One of the great things the show does is model healthy communication skills in relationships (friendships, romantic, family) and given that this is a show aimed at a young audience, I think that’s so so important. There’s probably a lot you could talk about from the episodes, and the future seasons will focus a lot more on mental health-related issues (based on what we know from the comics), so there’s still more great content to come

I love seeing all the cast in interviews. They have so much fun. Joe has gotten more comfortable in interviews.

I love this. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the video where Alice Oseman teaches the cast how to draw. Its very interaction-filled.
