I think one of the reasons that jake wasn’t considered for the leader part is because at their beginning he was the member with the least training period, and lived in korea for short time, after coming form Australia so all of those things effected him, in a way he had still a lot of place of growth in his skills, and his familiarity with the language, and of course life in a new country and culture. So he wasn’t in a place of leading and I think that will be distracting to him , l assume that the company wanted to give him the time to develop which is fair , considering that the other had 2-3 years of training when he had only a couple months.

And in terms of growth he is called “icon of growth “, since his iland days , because he always shows an incredible improvement in a lot of aspects and adapts really fast. but my favorite improvement of him is his Confidence, seeing how every comeback he becomes more comfortable and more confident in himself.
