Something I've been dabbling in as part of larger Project Raven research & development. This is a pseudo 128x128 lot made by combining 4 64x64 lots. This would be meant mainly for builders to have the ability to create a larger "single" structure, even though they would technically be 4 different lots.

That would be so cool. Like you could have a proper castle or estate.

Wow that's awesomely big! :O Would you be able to build over the squares that separate each 64x64 lot from each other? Would each square be able to house eight sims each? That would be cool, having 32 sims in the same 'lot'.

TwistedMexi

They're overlapped so that the end of one lot's walls can meet up perfectly to the next lot's. Yes, they all count as separate lots still so it would house 32 sims technically.

Incredible! Thank you for all you do!

Ah man ... the ideas that just popped into my head. I am not sure what is making me happier -- the idea of the 128-ish lot, the fact that it implies not just carbon copies of existing worlds (if you can add manipulate lots like this...). Curiously, would it be possible to do the same overlap on smaller lots ... with different lot types? You know, like old main streets with shops with shared walls or real townhouses/rowhouses?

TwistedMexi

I don't see why not, but that'll probably be something I have to explore in the future as this is just one of many moving parts with Project Raven.

Setting lots like this next to each other would be perfect for building apartments or townhouses 😍 Btw any indication when we would an announcement trailer or at least a progress update? Thank you for your hard work!

Every time you share something from Project Raven my mind explodes with all the possibilities! Thank you so much ('cause I can't say it often enough) for ALL that you do! 🤗

TwistedMexi

There's been quite a few progress updates recently, there will be a few more for cup of joe patrons soonish. I'll keep demoing various parts of it until it's ready to be combined.

This seems great to make apartments or townhouses

Can't wait to see! <3

What about 64 x 128? How many families are we talking about? How many total Sims could it support?

Literally so excited about this. My mind is blown that this is possible. I build cities and towns and I CAN NOT WAITTTTTT

TwistedMexi

I'll play with varieties after the first release. As for the 128x128 (which in reality works out to 127x127) it could hold 4 families, 8 sims each for a total of 32 sims.

Can you explain how this works? How would you put it down, and where? Is it possible to use this to remove all those Maxis fake houses and skyscrapers? Even those - like in Newcrest - in the background? Since we can't create our own worlds, we have to do what we can to make things work. I need to create some medieval worlds. Some how.

TwistedMexi

Well there's a ton to cover with Project Raven which I'll continuously be covering, but this particular feature is just about having a "128x128" lot. It works as 4 separate lots, they're just aligned to give builders the ability to create a giant build that appears to be one building. That means you can technically have 32 sims in the same "building" because it's split across 4 different controllable families.

Great. I don't suppose Project Raven has plans to create a medieval world in Del Sol Valley? An extra world? Vllygrl (on MSN - a history professor) gave me permission to change her MCC (challenge listed on MTS) written for Sims 2 for Sims 4. Del Sol Valley has the best weather, imho. (I grew up in Southeast Florida, in a semi-tropical area. Love warmth, and palm trees. Love Sulani, but have to constantly change the natives.) I can't wait to see all this project entails. It;s exciting! Go! Go! Go! If I quit bothering you so much, you'll have more time to work! LOL
