Teruma, God of Cats (Patreon)

Believed by many to have been born of an oppressed cat merchant's infatuation with their Maneki Neko statue and a desperate plea, it is Teruma's heartfelt desire to safeguard all cats in Her sanctuary, that they may live blissful ever after as Her subjects.  

Her haven exists somewhere between worlds- A temple modeled as many cat towers, with homes, stalls and restaurants for all felines to enjoy. Her domain even stretches around it, with sprawling fields ripe with prey for cats with less civilized, wilder inclinations.

What makes Her choose cats to invite as new subjects is unclear. Perhaps She believes they may be in need of a better home...But then, what of those who were not always cats, and awaken as such after hearing Her voice in their dreams?  
Her "blessing" is mysterious indeed. 

Regardless, She introduces Herself as the God of cats. A self-proclaimed title, judging by how not many, feline or not, had even heard of her even in the most spiritual of sites.  There's no doubting Her divinity, but She might be as capricious as the animals She keeps.
