Here's music for the lyrics I posted a while back! It features a whole TON of tracks, a 7/8 v 4/4 Ostinato carried faithfully in the Bass and kick drum, and a DIFFERENT Ostinato stacked on top in the guitar which follows the pattern... in spirit. It also features FOX AMOORE with help on strings, horns, and piano. Really beefs this B up.
The lyrics are deeply personal, but it also grooves so much I wanna die.
This will be featured in an upcoming collaborative project.
Lyrics:
Can’t be, that we’re too dull to recognize
Till the flood waters start to rise
maybe it’s not too late
Can’t see, though the truth talks the money lies
and when one man can override a
million, and claim their state
Ya keep on rollin’ keep on votin’ keep on
hopin against hope that if we repeat
the same techniques some day we’ll find
a way to override
Just breathe. Feel the wind as it’s whippin’ by
all the energy kinetic as you’re
rollin’ down this hill
Such speed. Couple words that I’d chosen why
I was chewed up and swallowed by a
system and I’m here still
Never figured I’d be
Fired, straight unwired
bit too “gay” for parents’ taste I
never thought that while I taught
I’d be displaced
from my last summer of innocence
Just think. If the dollar drops they’ll come for you
do you know what you are gonna do when
“normal” can’t compete?
the brink. Though we’ve stood here for 2 generations
you assume you’ll be spared, if you
lift us now, we can catch you when you’ve fallen out
of the good
graces of the faceless who
maintain this heinous pace towards
annihilation, we’ve been patient, but it’s time
We have to organize
You’re a freak. You’re a weirdo. (I won’t give up if you don’t give up)
What the hell are you doing here? You don’t belong here.
