The first sub-release for R7 is already on its way out, with tons of new features and textures being prepared and done for the coming month of June.
Some of the blocks that are remade completely are stone bricks (normal + mossy), normal bricks(clay), diamond block, grass and oak log!
New blocks like Chiseled Sandstone are added with 4 different variations including a creeper faced chiseled block! Along with the chiseled smooth stone, all other smooth stone types are also done until now.
We'll have more blocks soon till R7.5 can be released but it's already done things that have completely changed the look of Optimum Realism, like the grass block, it now has 7 different variations instead of the old 6 and older 4. It's now no more just plain, it has tons of foliage to it, making it a very joyful experience when traversing through the overworld.

We will also be hitting our 1-year development mark soon, and I'm planning on what I can do when we hit it. You could suggest events by commenting here or messaging me.
Time has just passed so fast, we've come far.
Which brings me to a quick Trivia: The original name for my pack wasn't Optimum Realism, it was "Techtures". When I first made it, I realised it had the same aim that every other realistic resource pack at that time had. "Be realistic" Most of these packs didn't care for performance which at that time neither did I. So I decided, I'm not just gonna be realistic,
I'm also gonna keep in mind performance every time I add something and so far we've managed to make the pack much better on performance if I were to not think about it when I added something new. A name instantly struck my mind and without a second thought, I told myself "This is it, the beginning of a new journey, a new aim and a new goal"

So I named it "Optimum Realism".
This is the story of how Optimum Realism was formed.
