Optimum Realism R2.3.0 Bedrock Raytracing is here! (Patreon)
Content
I've spent the last few weeks tuning the Bedrock version of Optimum Realism, I've added many new blocks customized for Bedrock and there are many quality-of-life changes as well. This is because of a recent poll I conducted on this Patreon page, which at the time of making this project did bend towards adding more support for Bedrock Edition against more blocks for Java Edition.
BetterRTX is an extremely good mod to enhance the Raytracing shading, and the author of this texture pack highly recommends it. You can download it via their discord server.
I can't summarize my entire work on this project but here are the main things you as a user will understand:
The copper block is updated
The colors for the planks are rematched.
Oak planks are updated
Spruce planks are updated
Jungle planks are updated
Birch planks are updated
Acacia planks are updated
Dark Oak planks are updated
Cherry planks are updated
Crismon planks are updated
Warped planks are updated
The Desert biome is reworked to match the desert color scheme
Red Sand is updated
Dead Bush is updated
Calcite was added to Java Edition, so it's added here as well.
Calcite is added
Here's the Bedrock exclusive change list:
Added Baked Models for
Diamond Sword

Diamond Armor
Reworked textures:

Besides these, many other minor changes had to be made, leaves had to be adjusted. PBR properties of certain blocks had to be adjusted. As a user, you might not find very big differences at a bleak look besides those that are mentioned but behind the scenes there was a huge amount of work that had to be put into this, which is hard to grasp if you're not familiar with how these textures are made and converted into using for the Minecraft games(Which differ a lot from Bedrock to Java, almost like a different game)
However, even at this state while this is definitely very much playable and covers almost more than 80% of the Java Edition blocks, there are some blocks that are commonly used that have not been added to the release yet, which you may find in the adventures. You can texture these blocks by using a lower resolution third party texturepack below Optimum Realism. This should significantly enhance your gameplay and you get the good from both the sides and cons from none. Just remember to not use an equivalent resolution of Optimum Realism, as this might give you the fallback error, which is a very common Minecraft bug which also occurs for some users with the Optimum Realism 512x version. In the future, because of this and some other technical problems I may have to ditch the 512x as well as 1024x versions and continue to downward-scale all the different versions, and their respective tiers. However, because this is not a major problem at this moment, I intend to keep it as it is.
