Chapter 12

“Look at the time. We have to get to the hospital.”

“Do I have to go?”

“Yes, don't you want to see your sister?”

“I'm sure she's fine. I'd rather stay home.”

“I can't do that?”

“Why?”

“Look at you. Someone would have to stay with you.”

“I'm fourteen.”

“No one knows that. If someone saw you here alone, it would mean trouble.”

“This isn't fair.”

“Doesn't matter, you have to come.”

“Let me go to the bathroom first.”

“Do you have to go bad?”

“Not too much.”

“Then it'll wait.”

“You remember last time when I waited.”

“You're in a diaper now. Don't worry about it. Besides, you should learn how it feels. You know for the part.”

Johnny held it. It wasn't that hard when he was sitting in the car.

Mom sent the agent a message while they rode in the car.

<We'll do it for 350,000>

She reasoned if they asked for a quarter of a million, they would dicker her down. But if she asked for me, she would get what she wanted.

Dad asked the receptionist which room Johnny Lindsley was in.

“724,” the receptionist replied.

The family entered the elevator to get to the seventh floor. Mom was carrying Johnny in her arms. She was dressed in Gracie's jeans and a t-shirt with a unicorn print. Under that, he wore a thick diaper that could be discerned from the rear. On his feet, he wore red toddler sandals.

Entering the room, they saw Gracie (in Johnny's body) wearing a hospital gown. She was sitting up on the bed watching cartoons on TV. In her arms was a teddy bear the hospital gave her. She held it tightly.

“Mommy,” she cried out.

“Honey, how are you?”

“I have a bump on my head.”

“I know.”

“When can I go home?”

“Soon. I just have to talk to the doctor.”

The family spent some time together.

“Mom, I have to go to the bathroom,” Johnny told them.

“You take him,” mom told dad.

There was a bathroom in the hospital room. Dad carried johnny and closed the door.

Johnny pulled down his pants and then tore off the tabs on the diaper. Dad helped him onto the toilet bowl and let him pee.

Dad had to rediaper Johnny. He wasn't going to let him walk around without underwear under his pants.

In the hospital room, mom was talking to Gracie.

“Honey, you have to tell them your name is Johnny.”

“I did.”

“Good. You also have to tell them you are a boy and you are 14 years old”

“You didn't tell me to tell them that before.”

“I know. I'm sorry honey. You have to tell them that now.”

“OK”

“And tell them you are in the ninth grade at Camton high school.”

“I can do that.”

“Now tell me what you are going to say?”

“I'm Johnny. I'm a boy. I'm 14 and I go to high school.”

“OK.”

“How much is 14?”

“It's a lot.”

“Is it more than ten?”

“Yes, it is.”

“I can count to ten.”

“I know you can. But you have to tell them what I told you.”
