Adam didn't realize any of the changes that had already happened to him. He wasn't dressed in his t-shirt or ballcap anymore. In a few seconds, his bat would transform into a wand. Then his attitude would change. 

That night he would cry himself to sleep, whining that to be allowed to play another fifteen minutes.
