Max looked down at her phone. She saw a strange message,

There’s a reason that we’ve won the Best of Long Island 23 times and have been awarded Operator of the Year in 2018, 19, 20, and 2021, by MEA, a global organization that body-swap fitness satisfaction. What’s more, we have a well-earned reputation for exceptional cleanliness, which is more important now than ever.  If you would like to continue at the reduced price for another year, please authorize payment."

"What the hell?" she thought. "Must be a health club scam."

Max declined the authorization. She was in great shape, why would she need to join some silly gym?

Max regretted the decision immediately. Her/his body reverted to its original state. She/he wasn't a pretty young woman, he was an out-of-shape man middle-aged man with more hair on his back than his head. 

He forgot that his membership was about up and had to be renewed.  He immediately tried to reinstate his membership, but he found that the Maxine body that he had grown used to wasn't available anymore. The best he could do was a woman his age who is heavier than he is or a woman of advanced years.
