Carolyn was enjoying a pleasant afternoon at the beauty salon having her nails done. Her hand was held out to the attendant as she worked on her fingers. Carolyn closed her eyes and enjoyed the fragrances of her surroundings.

Without warning, she felt her arm being pulled. She was being yanked to her feet.

A shocked Carolyn opened her eyes and screamed. She saw a boy of about ten or eleven pulling her arm. He was screaming at her, "Sissy, you don't belong here!"

"What?" a confused Carolyn cried out. She resisted being pulled only because of instinct.

Put soon her resistance crumbled. She allowed herself to be pulled to her feet. The boy wasn't finished though. He dragged her to the door. Carolyn could see the caption on the translucent glass part door. It was reversed as it was meant to be read from the other side, but the wording was still clear. Printed were the words "BOYS LOCKER ROOM".

The boy opened the door and then pulled Carolyn into the hall.  Opposite the boys' locker room was the door to the girls' locker room. She had never seen these doors or this hall in her life.

The boy stopped pulling her and got behind her. Now he was pushing her. Carolyn reached out her hands. The door to the girl's locker room flew open.  Carolyn was pushed inside.

Some of the girls inside screamed. Others laughed. Carolyn didn't know what was going on. Then she saw her reflection in a mirror. She wasn't Carolyn anymore; she was some nerdy-looking boy.

The girls weren't as aggressive as the boy had been, but Carolyn knew she had to leave. She could still hear the laughing and screaming as she stood in the ball. She didn't know what had happened or what would become of her.

Back in the salon, Timothy sat back as the stylist worked on his fingernails. No one was pulling his arms anymore. His hand was being gently held, almost pampered. He enjoyed the rich aromas of the salon. He smelled heavenly. When he finally opened his eyes, he knew heaven was exactly where he was. A smile grew on his pretty face making him look even more lovely.

Timothy knew this was truly where he belonged.
