<Act 10>

After they had exited, one of the hatcheck girls arrived at the hideout. It was obviously the real Batgirl, although she still believed she was a hatcheck girl.

Batman phoned Alfred via the remote batphone to tell him of their failure. Alfred would have to set up sleeping quarters in the Batcave for Batgirl. She couldn't sleep in Dick Grayson's bed, and she couldn't stay up all night.

Alfred dutifully transported a portable bed to the Batcave and obtained a nightgown, satiny robe, and fresh panties for Batgirl to sleep in. The bed was made with silk sheets and a soft comforter. Alfred place the bed in a corner of the Batcave and surrounded it with a privacy curtain.

Thinking a bit more, Alfred also brought down a table with a lamp and several books that he knew that Batgirl would enjoy.

Finally, Alfred confirmed that the bathroom in the Batcave had clean towels and a new bar of soap.

Batgirl who was riding on her cycle didn't have any idea about these preparations. She noticed the changes to the Batcave immediately.

“What's that?”

“I phoned ahead. I instructed Alfred to prepare a place for you to sleep.”

“I hadn't thought about that.”

“It's too late to do anything tonight. You have to sleep somewhere.”

“You're right, Batman.”

“I'll keep you company for as long as you want.”

“Thank you. What should we do?”

“Chess?”

“Sure, that's better than my Algebra homework.”

“You can do that if you like.”

“No, let's play chess.”

Alfred returned to the Batcave with dinner for both of them.
