Chapter 9.

Entering Dr. Morris' office were Kevin and Lori Cummo and Kevin's best friend Michael. Lori was complaining that Kevin was spending too much time with Michael and not enough time alone with her.  Kevin and Lori had been married for over thirty years.  All was going well as long as Michael was also married to his now-deceased wife Gayle.  But after Gayle died, Kevin started to spend more time with Michael.  He wanted to help his depressed friend by taking him out to ballgames, action movies, and other things that both men enjoyed.

Lori didn't mind at first, but soon she found herself spending too many nights alone. When they were a pair of couples everything was fine, but the three of them without Gayle to round it, out didn't work.

At the last session, Lori blurted out what she was thinking, if you like being together so much then maybe you two should be married.  Dr. Morris took this inspiration and swapped the identities of Lori and Michael.  Their personalities hadn't changed but Michael believed he was Lori and vice versa.  They had returned to tell Dr. Morris how it was going.

Kevin and Lori (who had formerly been Michael were sitting close together on Dr. Morris's couch.  Kevin has his arm around Lori and Lori reciprocated by resting her head on Kevin's shoulder.  Lori was dressed in similar clothes to what the 'real' Lori had been wearing when they entered the office originally.  She was wearing a woman's  bright floral top with black leggings and sandals.  She was wearing panties and a sports bra underneath.  The clothing didn't fit as well on the new Lori as it did on the old one.  They had similar waistlines, but the old Lori had wider hips and real breasts.  The new one had what could be called a chubby chest, not breasts.  Lori was starting to buy new clothes and soon although all her clothing would be definitely female, they would fit Lori better.

The couple has more in common now than they ever had.  Lori loves sports as she never had before. She has the same tastes in movies and food.  They had even rekindled their sex life.  The former Lori never liked to take it up the butt, but the new Lori just loves it.  She loves it almost as much as she now loved giving head.  The couple couldn't be happier.

“Thank you so much,” Kevin enthused speaking for both of them. “We are going to go on a second honeymoon in Las Vegas.  We're going to have a blast.”

Michael sat in a chair apart from the couple, he looked quite depressed.  He had been left out.

“What do you have to say, Michael?”

“I'm happy for them,” he said unenthusiastically. He had become the third wheel.  He felt out of place.

When Kevin and Lori left, Dr. Morris insisted that Michael stay behind.

“You don't have to tell me; I know what's wrong.”

“Is it that obvious?”

“You feel left out.  It's to be expected.  What you need is to start dating again.  Look for a new wife.”

“It seems too early.”

“Naa, it's time.  You can't wallow in your grief.  You have to get out there.  I know this woman who would be perfect for you.”

“You do?”

“Yeah, she used to be a patient of mine.  She's a little older than you.  But, I think you have a lot in common.  I think you will be good for each other.  Like you she needs to get out more.”

Dr. Morris was referring to an eighteen-year-old woman who had swapped lives with her grandmother.  Her grandmother had disapproved of the girl.  She had come from another generation where 'girls were more proper'.

Dr. Morris swapped their lives.  Now the girl lived like an older woman.  She hardly left her apartment.  Having a gentleman in her life would do wonders for her.  Michael would be perfect.  They have a lot in common.

“I don't know.”

“Trust me.”

A date was arranged before Michael left Dr. Morris' office.
