Alisa, Marisa, and Justine had been BFFs since before the Great Shift.  They tried to maintain that relationship after, but it was difficult.  Activities, like their biweekly Jazzercise classes, didn't seem the same now that Alisa is in her seventies, Marisa is a man and Justine is a boy.
