Chapter 12.

The computer was delivered as promised. Micah lost contact with Justin, but Justin knew everything that was going on at Micah's apartment.

New suggestions were being entered into Micah's mind. New suggestions that would be activated with one hypnotic trigger word.

Micah was being told that his name was Angela Lopez. That he was an eleven-year-old girl in the fifth grade. That Rosa was his mommy. That he had the best mommy in the world. That he hated boys because boys were mean and gross. That he didn't want to be anything like those stinky old boys. That he wanted to be a cheerleader when he got into middle school. All of these suggestions and a few more were being implanted in Micah's brain without him noticing a thing.

Justin waited for the indication that all his suggestions were fully implanted. He watched Micah's progress. Micah would do things that he wouldn't naturally do. There was one final step for Justin to know when the time was right. When Micah started playing a virtual reality game called Barbie's Magical Adventure for over an hour, Justin knew Micah was ready.

Justin rushed to Micah's apartment and rang the doorbell. Micah was still playing the game; he was in the 27th level (Flying with Butterflies).

Micah approached the door.

Justin said the trigger words, “Is Angela home?”

Immediately, whatever was left of Micah's personality and identity was gone. He is now Angela.  Micah recognized Justin as 'her Mommy's friend.'

“Yeah,” Micah said in a higher-pitched voice than usual.

“Your Mommy asked me to take you home.”

“But I was having so much fun.”

“You can play at home. It's time for dinner. You have to come with me. Say goodbye to your friends.”

Angela yelled out, “I've got to go,” to his imagined friends and left with Justin who drove Angela to his house.

Justin told Angela to get ready for dinner. During that time, Justin put on a dress and the rest of Rosa's apparel. Within half an hour, Angela was eating tacos with who she believed to be her Mommy. Tomorrow, she would be learning how to do simple cheering maneuvers with Sandra.  Angela would be having so much fun.

Angela loved her mother's tacos. They were so much fun to make. Mommy provided the ingredients and Angela took what she wanted. It of course started with a taco shell. Angela could start with beef, chicken, or beans. Mommy always made plenty for dinner. Angela didn't mind, she had a huge appetite. Certainly, much bigger than a typical eleven-year-old girl.

After the meats, there could be lettuce, diced tomato, grated cheeses, sour cream, guacamole, and other additives. Angela could make anything she liked, she loved it. She washed it all down with a big glass of apple juice.

“Did you have fun with your friends?” Justin asked. Justin knew that Micah didn't remember his entire life. As far as Micah knew, he had always been Angela and this afternoon she was just spent playing with one of her friends.

“Yeah, lots of fun.”

“What did you do?'

“We played games on the computer.”

“What type?”

“Virtual reality games. You know the type where you have to put a helmet over your head.”

“Wasn't it scary?”

“No, these were fun games.”

“What was it all about?”

“I was Barbie, and I went to all these places. I swam with the fishes and ran with the deer and flew with butterflies. I was everywhere.”

“Flew with butterflies?”

“Yeah, it felt like I was really flying.”

“Sounds like you have a great time.”

“We did!” Micah said referring to his imaginary friend and himself.

After dinner, Angela went to her room. One of the guestrooms had been redecorated to look like the bedroom of a tween-aged girl. There were dolls and toys and other things that a young girl would like. Angela thought this had always been her room. She found a coloring book and a box of crayons and started to color.

Justin's room had changed too. The modifications to his room were much slower than to the room Angela now inhabited. It started with the comforter that Rosa had ordered. Soon there were sheets and pillowcases. Then a few knick-knacks and end tables to put them on. Eventually, the room was unrecognizable. When Angela's room had been painted, Justin's room had been painted also. Justin accepted all these changes without question. Justin had changed his own personality without realizing it.

Some time back, while Rosa was waiting for Sandra to arrive, she happened to be looking through the files of her computer. She discovered a file called Rosa's Profile. She looked through it and found a list of her qualities.

At the bottom of the 'program', it said that it would be activated when Rosa was sitting in front of the computer. She changed that to be activated all the time. Justin's alternate persona was now programming his real persona. It would be done slowly but, in the end, he couldn't resist it.
