The Elevator Twenty-Fifth Floor (Patreon)

Authors note: There is a bit of a ewe factor in this one.  Even though nothing is described in detail, read at your own risk and remember it's just a story.

Cardonali the magical imp was doing what he always did, he caused  trouble to others for his own amusement.  Cardonali had the ability to  put any thought into a person's mind and manipulate them as he wanted  to.  He stood unobserved or at least unacknowledged in the back of an  elevator waiting to see who would get in.

Lauren and her daughter Brittney entered the elevator.  Lauren was on the phone and the day wasn't going well for her.  Soon she hung up.

"Mommy, scooch down a little," Brittney asked.

Lauren ducked down and Brittney got behind her and started to rub her shoulders.

"That feels good."

"Mom, when was the last time I told you I love you?"

"I don't know, let me think.  A few days I guess."

"How long has it been since I showed you how much I love you?"

"It's been a while."

"Dad won't be home for hours and I can skip soccer practice."

"You love soccer."

"I love you more."

"Hmm, I don't know."

"You could get all comfy in that teddy.  You know the one I mean.  And I could use the toys that dad doesn't know about."

"You make it sound so good, but have you finished your homework?"

"I just left school, how could I finish my homework?"

"You also have to do your chores, like walk the dog and clean out the guinea pig enclosure."

"If I do all that?"

"If you do all that and there is time before dad comes home then OK."

"You get everything ready and I'll be there soon."

Lauren reminded Brittany, "You have to do your homework right!  You can't rush through it."

"I know."

And you have to wait until Sparky poops, not just pees.  He's been in the house all day."

"I will.  I will.  I promise."

"After you are finished with Sparky and the pigs, you'll probably be all sweaty.  You had better take a shower too."

"I'll tell you what, let's take the shower together."

"Deal!"
