Welcome to your first Mock-u-mentry. Actor recognition help: Cookie (Catherine O'Hara) past slut terrior owner, played the mom in Beetlejuice. And VERY hard to recognize.. Harlan (Christopher Guest), blood hound dog owner, played the 6 finger Count in The Princess Bride. This movie has an odd comedy feel because it's mostly Ad-lib. Off the cuff. Improv. This group of actors got together and have done a few movies in this fashion.

I LOVE this movie! The mocumentary style is meant to be this type of exaggerated, often deadpan humor. Anyone who knows dog show people knows it's actually realistic, thougn exaggerated for humor. It's a crazy world, and people take it extremely seriously. All the dogs were real show dogs. For the weimaraner, they selected a retired dog because no one with an active show dog would want to train it to jump on a judge like that!

This was my first time seeing the whole movie. I had seen various parts of it, but not the full movie. I watched it right alongside your reaction/commentary. I was worried the two left feet man was going to walk in the wrong direction!
