I'm sure by now you figured out that Grosse Pointe is an actual upper middle class suburb of Detroit. The title is word play obviously, Grosse Pointe, being the location, Point Blank which is a ballistics term of reference to the distance a bullet travels before dropping from the firearm's bore axis, and obviously Cusacks character Martin BLANK. Some notables from Grosse Pointe that I know of off the top of my head is John Hughes, John Lowry ( John 5 guitarist, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, the Creatures and now Motley Crue) JK Simmons, Mark Tremonti (another guitarist from Creed and Alter Bridge). I loved this movie when it came out, such a fun film.

I just watched While you were Sleeping along with you and it too started w/ Hollywood pictures which you said you knew that one, and both that film and this one Hollywood pictures logo and song was followed by the Caravan Pictures logo and music. and again you said nope don't know that one.. ha.. you'll get there...You've come a long way these past couple years.. but that made me chuckle a bit. Hank Azira (Phoebe's boyfriend) is a hilarious actor.. Should watch American Sweethearts (Also starring John Cusack, Julia Roberts, Billy Crystal, Catherine Zeta Jones and Seth Green) great movie.. And of course also watch "The BIrdcage" with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane. Hank played the Robin and Nathans Housekeeper. The guy that plays Debbies dad guy from Lethal Weapon you also saw him in Liar Liar. Bobby Beamer was in Band of Brothers not sure if you saw that, if not must see mini series. But he was great in it. And the girl at the reunion that was in the accident is Jenna Elfman, she's done a some great fun movies, ( I highly recommend you watch Keeping the Faith, with her, Ben Stiller and Ed Norton). she also starred in her own sitcom called, "Darma and Greg".

I found it funny that you kept referring to the Kwik-E-Mart. Hank Azaria, who you recognized from Friends, did the voice of Apu, the owner/operator of the Kwik-E-Mart for many years on the Simpsons.

I don't know how I got through life without seeing this but I watched it for the first time along with you. Not sure you picked it up but John's secretary in the movie is played by his sister Joan. He also has another sister Ann who is an actor and a brother Bill who is and actor / producer.
