Miracle On 34th Street (1947) - I have access to a color version and a B&W version.  What should I watch?

Slightly dismayed there wasn’t a “both” option but I’ll get over it.

My husband and I have been watching the 1994 movie every year since our son was 2 years old... he's 30 now! I love Mara Wilson as Susan. She's so fantastic in her role! Dylan McDermott is so handsome, and he's a single mother's dream! How could Elizabeth Perkins ever call him a fool?!?! LOL! We've seen the 1947 original, but it just didn't stick like the 1994 movie did. I know I'm in a very small minority, but I'll wave my flag proudly! This happened before, when I watched both Footloose movies back to back, both for the first time. I chose the 2011 Footloose over the 1984 movie! I don't dislike the original. I became the first person to grow up in the '80s who waited that long to watch the 1984 version, and then to vote against it! Maybe you could do back-to-back reactions and you could judge them like I did... let's see which one you would pick!
