Hate to tell you this, but they probably had about a dozen 3500s. when it comes to vehicles they need to have several backups, especially ones that are involved in stunts. The budget for a fast and furious movie is mostly for the stunt vehicles. Ive been on the set of two fast and furious movies, and the number of duplicates is astounding, however they tend to be shell cars if not driven.

It was a Home Depot in 2011 in Joplin, MO, with the wall collapse. My husband’s hometown. His family was OK but we knew many who died or who lost everything. We flew back the next week to help dig belongings out of the rubble. For perspective, draw a rectangle 1 mile x 6 miles through the center of your (or any) city. That was the complete destruction path. 7,000 homes, 2,000 businesses, 35 churches, 27,000 cars, a major hospital, the high school, both jr highs, three elementary schools, and the administration building. Also 160 fatalities. :(
