It was a slow one, this week or I guess I have been busy away from my PC and the time I had on my PC I spent drawing mostly.


Giant's Sandbox

I do want to push another update (a smaller one) by the end of next week. I've been trying to make some more city tiles for the Endless Rampage mode though and got some more destructible buildings going. I'm curious though as to what new features you guys would want to see the most. Some comments on that would be nice, since I'm a little out of ideas on where to start at the moment or rather what to prioritise.


Macro Museum

Feedback on here is rather limited, so I might go public with this idea and see who is interested to becoming a part of it. Also I had the idea to significantly change on how I'm approaching the whole museum thing. It's not a real place after all, so there is no reason to limit myself to a boring building. So I'm definitely gonna try to do something more unrealistic and see how that works out. I do wanna make some cool stuff with lighting and such.


Art

Two new pictures this week and still a bunch WIPs left. Like yesterday I had this dumb spontaneous idea to make another short comic, only one page though but still, rough sketching a whole comic wasn't planned and there went a couple of hours. I don't even know if it'll get finished. At least the joke in it will be relevant for a while, so that's something and also it brought you this amazing panel:


Anything Else?

Last time I've mentioned all the new Patrons. I am really curious where you all came from though, considering I did not publicly advertise the release of Giant's Sandbox 0.1.0. Also I really need to properly get back into the swing of things. I really burned myself out hard on the 0.1.0 release.

Having more things to smash in Endless Rampage sounds fun :3 As for any other additions, maybe if you could get even bigger in said mode? I could understand that being a bit too awkward to implement though.

Hm... Scaly-(dragons, dinosaurs, lizards)models would be nice to add and also a bit more... paw-interaction. ;D

Implementing growth in that mode would break it, since I did not make it with a feature like that in mind. However, I was thinking of having an alternate set of tiles which would feature much tinier buildings. So while the player is the same size, the surroundings would be much smaller.

In terms of models I'm dependant on what compatible ones I can get my hands on. As for paw interaction, what did you have in mind for it?

Maybe other kinds of crushing options like being able to be sat on or dropped into the bust of some of the models from the handheld position? Or maybe even when your HP runs out you get flattened? Just spitting ideas! To see if you like any or what others like.

Butt crush I wanted to do at some point. Dropping someone into the bust sounds pretty fun though and should be fairly simple to implement. As for events when HP run out, I wanted to experiment with ragdolls or something like a ragdoll state. Just flattening the character would be possible too although less eventful. Thanks a lot for the feedback though!

Oh, had another idea, maybe some kind of minigame that allows you to try and hold the paws weight up? Where the giant can decide to add more pressure until you are slowly crushed? Again just random ideas lol.

This does sound fun but also fairly complex, especially with getting the a.i. involved into this.

Well I would love to make a suggestions too as well since other people had made suggestions in the game. So anyway, I notice that you have endless rampage and that giants walk through buildings, I do wonder if you could do those scenes within the gameplay meaning that giants is destroying the buildings with their paws, mouth, butt and etc instead of running through it. Like the city you had in the game and so maybe they could interacting with a building or something decided to destory. Not only that but maybe if you can have a micro inside a building too and that playing "hide and seek" with a giant. I think that would be a good idea. Also having the giant throw the micros in the shoes and such, would be nice to see. Another thing, maybe they could interact with very tiny micros that are under -5 and I do notice their are bugs in the game. So maybe fixed it if you can. I know only certain parts you can do in the game with the A.I. and such have limits. These are just suggestions and so I thought I should my stuff I would like to see. I am sure I have more ideas than this but it will come to me later. I hope I am not too repeating like anyone else on here. ;p

First of all, thanks a lot for the feedback. I do want to get destructible environments into the regular game mode as well at some point, so that one is already on the list. The Endless Rampage mode though is supposed to be fairly simple, so I probably won't add anything in terms of more interactions in there. As for putting micros into shoes, that's fairly complex and highly dependant on the models and there'll probably a lot of clipping issues with it. Not sure if that'w worth the time it might take.

Hey Evil-Sprite. May be you can add a male as a tiny for player's choice character. It's not my way playing as a female character. ^^

Male characters will be added, along with other models at a later point in time. At the moment, it's a little counter productive to add new models.

Blood and death ? Mhhh, laybe it's a little bit too dark?

I was considering to add a bit of blood splats or something, of course with the option to turn it off. Detailed gore would be a little too much.

Maaayyybe some kind of way to get sat on? Like if there's chairs around the map, being dropped there and... the rest follows?

Yeah, I thought about something like environmental interaction. Like depending on what's near the characters.
