[Alternate Text: An image of a frost-coated rose. The title says: "Happy Birthday Ms. Verner!"]
In honor of Ms. Verner's birthday, I collected/revamped some writings about her to share with you.

Ask: "I hope that R's cat is black otherwise they'll need to clean their black suit everytime there's a cat hair on it ππ€"
Lol, yes, R's cat is a jet black color with golden-yellow eyes similar to the one on their RO aesthetic, but he is more regal like a baby panther. I could see R having a lint roller at the ready to catch any stray hair as opposed to denying their cat a cuddle; they spoil their cat. π€
And then we have Ms. Verner who is like: "If that feline sets one (1) paw on my Turkish brocade rug, there will be consequences."
(Meanwhile, the cat is traipsing around in the background on the rug out of spite while R asks what would be the specific consequences to stall for time. Ms. Verner and the cat have a unique and clashing bond.)
For TFS patrons π², a writing is: here (Reese Version) and here (Ruby Version) that's from Ms. Verner's perspective.

A quote that reminds you of Ms. V? π
There are so many, but these two in particular:
βI am both worse and better than you thought.β

"He who dares not grasp the thorn should never crave the rose."

Ask/Prompt: "I am not sure if this is basically a given, but was Ms. Verner the type to be very "caring" (trying to use a nice word for strict, expectant, having high expectations, etc) towards R's school performances? Like their involvement, grade, and so on?"
You are being very nice to word it like that. :D Ms. Verner did care about how R performed in school, desiring them to be at the top of their class. It's important to note that R also wanted this given their competitive nature paired with how they took a certain pride in maintaining (read as 'safeguarding') their grade point average. They took it seriously; perhaps, their parents influenced that to a degree.
R took on so much during high schoolβmany activities, leadership positions, etc. to create a very full, distinguished resume. They sought the best. Despite her disposition now, Ms. Verner supported R a bit better when they were younger... We will learn more throughout the series, though it's safe to say she eventually stopped coming to their track meets or ensured they quit working on homework late at night. >.>

Ask/Prompt: "I just want Mrs. Verner to know I'm not going anywhere. Me and R are in love and she can pry them from my cold dead hands."
Ms. Verner barely glances up from the report she's skimming over when she hears your voice in one of the the Verner mansion's formal living rooms. She is used to tuning you out at this point. "The locks will need to be altered at this rate," she mutters the comment to herself, though the change in your tone is something she instantly detects when you mention 'prying' and 'cold dead hands'. "Arrangements can be made, if you are so determined to persist."
"Mother!" Rβs exclamation is sharp with both disbelief and cold anger. They nearly knock over the gilded tea set when they rise from their chair, creating a faint squeak as the chair legs slide against the polished hardwood flooring. "Did you just threaten toβ?"
"You misunderstand," Ms. Verner coolly interrupts, looking above the semicircle shaped glass of her reading glasses to stare down her child. "Arrangements could be made for them to go elsewhere. Do not be daft."
You can't help but wonder what she really meant by that comment...

Ask/Prompt: "kinda want R's hand in marriage, kinda don't want to anger mrs verner lmao"
But consider a worse scenario: you 'anger' (read as: deeply upset) R instead by not taking their hand in marriage, while Ms. Verner is doing some wedding planning of her own that seems oddly pointed.
Why would she be doing this? To twist the knife, to force a reaction, or simply because it's fun for her? (It isn't.) Who knows, but if you see one more pattern of lace around the Verner mansion, you'll shred it.

Ask/Prompt: "To me, angering Ms Verner is a bonus of marrying R."
I suspected that some of you might delight in how she could view this marriage, possibly teasing (or irritating) her by saying 'mother-in-law' with a certain smugness. It would be like that one movie with J Lo, especially if you purposefully include her in the planning to drive home you're marrying R. XD But maybe I shouldn't encourage that.
MC, busting into Ms. Verner's office: I'd like your opinion on this. *shows her two fabric swatches* Dusky lavender or shady lavender.
Ms. Verner: Those are the exact same shade... π€¨
MC, knowing full well the swatches are in fact the same color from the one roll of fabric they made S cut: No, they're not. π
I could go on with these. XD Ms. Verner's role on the R romance route is going to be very interesting.

BONUS: A choice option in Book Two that some of you will be too curious about and want to select even if it might go against your MC's self-preservation instincts. This is directed at Ms. Verner:
#β¦Try to go in for a genuine hug even if that's crazy. (It's honestly insane.) "I missed you."
Well, we will have to see how your 'hug' goes in the second book.

I hope you enjoyed these moments with Ms. Verner! We will be learning more about her and her past in Book Two. ππ
