In honor of R. Verner's birthday, I collected/revamped some writings about them to share with you. 🥰

(We are going to pretend that cellphones work more consistently in Fernweh for this, and I assumed thirst traps or a saucy picture instead of flirty texts. XD Middle romance stage.)

R suddenly has no interest in the conversation, allowing their world to narrow to the phone screen, before glancing up  to shoot you an amused look, lips twisting into a short-lived smirk at what game you just challenged them to. (Challenge accepted.) They have a  folder or album (shhh 😏) for this situation and send back an eye-catching picture without any hesitation, shamelessly meeting your flirtation and waiting to see their impact on you. The two of you will  likely be watching each other for the rest of the meeting, though R will  bring this up later once the two of you are alone...

How would R react to the MC saying that they can hold the whole world in their hands and then holding/cradling R's face?

“…I’m tempted to deduct points for lacking originality,” R drawls out the remark to try and detract from the heated blush they can feel infiltrating their pale skin. Their cheeks may be growing warmer under your gentle touch, betraying the faintly amused smile on their face. R decides to turn the tables before their flustered state becomes more obvious, leaning closer to kiss you suddenly to distract you from commenting on their rare blush.

R: The Tower

The Tower is a representation of destruction. The Tower often comes up  when everything in your life feels like its crumbling, and you have no  way of stopping it.

MC: When I was 7 I had a crush on Verner & didnt know how to  deal w it so I wrote them a letter that just said "get out of my  school".

Here is my reply to this^ prompt and a snippet with R:

Lol, R would not only have written a strongly worded letter back, but they would also have kept that letter long after the MC's departure. You can bet once the MC and R get into a relationship, that they show it to them one day with the most knowing smile on their face.

"Do you still want me to 'get out', [Surname]?"

R teases you only after they are certain you read the message, pointedly raising the worn paper out of your view before you can reach out to take it back. (It's creased as if someone had unfolded it many, many times to read the faintly faded words.) You had used your least favorite color to scrawl those words, but now all you see is pale blue because R masterfully swapped places with the letter.

They soundly kiss you before you can answer; it's answer enough.

R isn't going anywhere.

Two fluffy facts!

- R will almost always say goodnight to you. (Acknowledgement has been lacking in their own childhood, so they tend to make a point of addressing those they care about.) It may be over the landline phone, over the walkie talkie, verbally, or even in the form of a hug or a cheek kiss before leaving you for the night, but you will get that farewell from them. (Especially once in romance.)

- *cough* touch starved *cough* They like to be close to you, if you're comfortable with that. Brushing hands, fixing your hair, straightening your attire, grazing knees, etc. R will try for that once they are sure you're okay with it. They can actually be more awkward/uncertain with these more intimate touches than when saying something flirty, heated, or leading.

Reese

Your lips have barely left the ball of Reese’s shoulder when you feel an answering sharp yet fleeting pressure along the side of your neck that's instantly soothed by a quick kiss that threatens to linger when you pull him closer.

He always has to bite back.

You nearly roll your eyes at his quick response time, knowing that Reese also likes to bite as a sign of affection. “You’re like a viper,” you murmur the words, barely needing to raise your voice with how close the two of  you are on the couch. The attention being given to your neck dips lower to the hollow of your throat before Reese moves to hover inches in front of your face. A smile that is more fond than amused helps to blunt the intensity of the moment.

“Did you really just call me a snake…?”

“No, a viper,” you correct him. “Lucky for me you aren’t venomous.”

Reese’s smile wavers for a fraction of a second, but he leans back in to properly kiss you before it can be questioned.

Ruby
