Surprise #1: Poll: TFS Spring Wallpaper 💐 (Patreon)

Hi Everyone,

I hope you’re having a lovely day/night!

In honor of spring, I wanted to release a wallpaper that hints at Fernweh’s natural beauty and lush forests that are described throughout the first book. I would like some help deciding on the scene to be released in April. I’ll describe both below so that you all can cast a vote. 🌲

The Lush Forest: A picture of a section of the lush forest clearing that was the setting for the battle of the first book. This part of the woods is deceptively beautiful due to all of its pretty flowers, tart berry bushes, and wild thickets that lure animals into it. You will remember the walking paths and oddly moist ground. There is a trail snaking through the image with the greenery on each side being a good place to position icons; it creates that typical U-shaped composition.

Summary: Bright berries/flowers, lush trees, vibrant, sunlit atmosphere, crisp details and saturated colors.

The Lonely Road: A picture of a time-worn backroad with Milton’s abandoned truck pulled off to the side, although you could say it looks like it’s being pulled into the surrounding forest. An eerie atmosphere as the sun slowly sets, casting the truck and parts of the forest in shadow, while other parts look normal until you peer deeper. The road divides the piece in half with the treeline on each side being a good place to position icons; it creates that typical U-shaped composition.

Summary: Mysterious atmosphere, areas of light/shade within the trees, Milton’s beloved truck off to the side, dusk, soft painterly details.
