Radona adjusted her glasses and sat gingerly on a cushion, her tail making a thudding noise as she hit the hard packed dirt behind her. "I'll be feeling this for weeks... if I knew sex would be like this," she muttered, then shook her head. "No, that wannabe husband probably wouldn't have fulfilled me this completely," she muttered. "Listen - husband, Ben," she said, gesturing with her hand towards me, "I'm aware you're already putting matters together."

"Yeah. I think I've got it mostly worked out," I agreed. "Your position before I got here was a lot more tenuous than I thought," I said. "Way Naira and Iaira made it sound," I looked at the Chief's small tent, not the place you'd expect a tribal leader to be living in, but it fit the spartan aesthetic of the tribe, "you didn't have challengers."

Radona adjusted her seat, her aching lower half clearly preventing her form finding a comfortable seat. "My greatest challenger was Naira to begin with, and that's how we maintained balance," she said. "Nobody thought that they could take Naira if it came to a fight, and the fact that she wasn't making a play for the leadership convinced everyone not to do the same," she said. "It's a precarious situation, reliant on nobody thinking they could've out-muscled her."

"So people either believed you were hiding some great strength," I mused, "or that whatever was holding Naira back from going for the leader's seat... would not apply once it was no longer you on it. I would've assumed blackmail of some sort," I admitted with a chuckle. "Back home, we don't have this issue."

"Oh?" Radona asked, raising an eyebrow. "Are the orcs and elves so peaceful that they don't face conflict?"

"No, nobody wants to be the sucker stuck as the leader," I said freely. After all, that meant less free time, for no real added benefits, and a lot more responsibility on top of that.

She snorted in amusement. "So you're an entire tribe of Nairas, good to know," she said, sighing.

"And you gambled on me being on the up and up that quickly?" I asked.

"I trust Naira's judgment when it comes to people. She said you looked trustworthy," Radona admitted with a shrug. "Either she thought you were the one, or she really wanted a shot at your cock. Both turned out to be true in the end," she said with a sigh. "With your obvious physical strength and the fact that you're a male, it hits two birds with one stone. You're muscle enough to back me up against any meathead, and you represent an invaluable, irreplaceable commodity to the other women," she said. "And thankfully, unlike humans, you don't seem to default to monogamy."

"Humans are monogamous?" I asked in surprise. That was news to me. "That's when it's... only one man, only one woman, right?" I asked, just to be clear on that front.

"Yes," she said with a nod. "That'd have been a disaster for us..." she then cleared her throat. "We were already looking into finding humans and convincing them to move... but that problem's neatly solved for the time being," she said.

"If it's a matter of men, the orcs would be quite happy to come and help you with that matter," I explained. I wonder if I could also ask them to bring chairs. This whole sitting on the ground thing? Just wasn't for me. I miss elven furniture. "My clan can probably spare a good dozen members."

She sighed. "That won't really work right now. We're not as united a tribe as I wish we were. Even though all of us left following the same path and arrived at the same place, at the end of the day, each of us came here for our own reasons," she said, grabbing a stick from a pile behind her and brandishing it for a few moments, before drawing a large circle in the dirt between us.

"The tribe is currently divided in several camps," she said, splitting the circle down the middle, then again, creating a cross that divided the initial circle into four parts of roughly equal size. She drew a symbol that resembled a 1 on one of the four parts. "There's myself and Naira, and by extension her daughters. I myself was banished from my family because keeping people as slaves is wrong," she explained.

"And she agreed?" you asked, idly.

"She's the one who put the idea in my head. Apparently she's met human hunters and learned from them before so she started questioning our vaunted superiority before I even thought to," she said, frowning. "Get used to a few human cities and suddenly the camps don't look so grand anymore... Naira said it best, she can break a human with her bare hands, but half the tools we make are crappy attempts at reproducing human ingenuity," she said. "As a Beaver, I found their ingenuity fascinating and the fact that we repressed it... I had nothing but disgust for my family after I was given an opportunity to learn from the human scribe. Throw in an arranged marriage with one of the worst of the lot to try to 'correct' my thinking... and well, that's what you have."

I nodded. "I see..."

To be honest, I couldn't quite understand it. Human adventurers tended to... well, it was best not to get involved with them. We knew the power of humans much more intimately than I wish I did. Luckily the aunts back at home had handled diplomacy quite well.

From the time I was born, I had known humans to not be existences to be messed with... and well, apparently I was considered exceptionally handsome among humans, in contrast to my fellow orcs. Always an ego booster considering amongst orcs I was considered girly and among elves I wasn't considered Orcish enough.

"You don't sound like it," she said, closing her eyes. "Anyway - that's us. We left because we just didn't like how they ran things," she said. "Then there's the Horses," she said. "They're led by Jennette," she explained, moving to another of the quarters and drawing a weird number 2 on it. "They simply had no place in Lobana's world," she spoke, "they aren't particularly invested in the village. Unfortunately I can't just let them go on their way, we've grown dependent on their ability to travel long distances, their strength and their endurance is pivotal to ensure we have plenty of food and materials for shelter building," she said. "For the time being, they're not an issue."

I nodded. I remembered... Jenny, Iaira brought her up, she must be the one who... yeah, you cast your mind away. You'd deal with that matter when it was appropriate.

"They are effectively neutral, I would say. The other neutral group would be the rabbits, led by the rabbit matriarch for this tribe, her name is Kortina, and she's- the easiest to figure out. We provide security, a place to stay, access to her necessities, and she in turn provides a workforce. Rabbits are servile by nature," she explained, "and quite enjoy their place in life... as long as nothing disturbs their peaceful living, they don't care what else happens. Which brings us to the problem here."

She then poked the last quarter, and drew an X on it.

"The wolves," Radona said, with a slight hint of annoyance in her voice. "They are soldiers first, of course, but most of the ones here aren't well suited for war or combat. The most they can do is hunt wild beasts and weaker monsters, and it's only their natural disposition for loyalty and pack mentality that keeps them in line since they're a fairly undisciplined bunch. They're the rejects of their packs," Radona sighed, "and that's creating more than a few issues, since a leader has emerged among them, and that leader's causing trouble."

"What sort of trouble?" I asked.

"I told you how Kortina's condition for staying is her peaceful life not being disturbed? Regina, the leader I mentioned, wants Merval, Kortina's husband, to become public property, so to speak," she explained. "Essentially she wants to revoke his rights as a person and put him out to stud to increase our numbers rapidly."

"That... sounds like more than a bit of a dick move," I said. "And no different from treating him as a slave."

"I agree," Radona said. "Regina's kept in check by Naira, she can't come to me without putting herself between Naira's claws," the beaver woman explained, adjusting her glasses once more, then she drew a smaller circle outside the main one. "That's where you," she tapped the middle of the circle, "come in. An outside influence, a man, and more importantly, a powerful man," she said.

"So... if I'm following this right, and stop me if I'm wrong, your issue is currently that the wolves are being uppity and you lack the strength to suppress them, so you want me to do it instead?"

"Basically," Radona said. "It's not a bad deal. I'm perfectly fine with opening diplomatic relationships, starting trade and forging an alliance, even if slowly, with your people," she said. "But currently our tribe is in such disarray that there's no genuine way in which we could actively be of any use to you... so if you help me with this, to get my people all united under the same banner, then you can get the ally you want from us," she said. "And - of course," she said, "our marriage will stand as long as you wish it to."

"You had me with that," I said with a big smile. "So what's your plan?"

"Glad to hear that," Radona said. "Now, the target this time is Regina," she said. "I'll point her out to you later," she added, "for now, I'll explain to you how the Wolves work. They're not exactly an united pack, but they will follow Regina as their Alpha, now, among Wolves, the Alpha is the Matriarch. Regina isn't actually the Matriarch of this pack, so her position is very weak," she explained, "though sometimes it's not unheard of for a younger member to either oust the Matriarch or be chosen to replace her early."

"So basically, she's the head of the pack and if I want to get the pack on my side, I have to go for her first," I said. "Makes it simpler."

"Quite," Radona agreed. "It's not perfect of course, some of them might try their luck if they think Regina lost to you because she was weak, rather than because you are strong," she explained. "For this, you're going to need to defeat her two ways. The first, you have to beat her in a fight. Naira said you can handle yourself, but Regina is a soldier, if you think you can't handle her, we'll-"

"Oh, don't worry about that," I said, raising my right arm and patting my bicep. "I've been trained by humans, elves and orcs, I've got a huge family that wouldn't let me go out as a diplomat without making sure I could defend myself first," I said, remembering long, long sessions working myself to the bone, just to still be trounced by adventurers with decades of experience.

"Great, excellent even," Radona said. "We'll organize a duel with her, I guarantee she's gonna make a pass at leadership, and even if she doesn't, we'll force the situation anyway," she said, raising her fist. "I want you to crush her in a battle, as thoroughly as possible," she said, "we'll make it public. When you are done defeating her, rip her clothes off and fuck her right there in front of everyone."

"Like you and I did?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "How far ahead did you plan this out? Since when?"

"It's best you don't ask that," she said, shaking her head. She then drew a line from the crossed out quarter of the circle towards me. "If you can dominate them, then your position as chief of the tribe will be solidified, and the biggest threat will be dealt with. From there, we can start work on convincing Kortina and Jennette - but for now, focus on Regina."

"Sooo, any clues on what kind of stuff she likes?" I asked. "If I'm gonna make her submit, she has to do so willingly, otherwise she'll just hold a grudge."

"Ah, I see you've got it down pat. Your people must be well cultured," Radona said, raising a hand to her chin and settling into thought. "Wolves, Regina included, prefer if you do it from behind, and if you show your physical superiority while you're doing it with them... you're way bigger than any of them so this should be easier for you," she said. "Force her onto the ground, spank her, slap her, bind her physically, the more dominant your display of physical superiority, the more she'll submit to you."

"But is that going to work long term?" I asked.

She nodded. "They'll never admit it, but most of the wolf girls are masochistic bitches," she said. "So, that's the score. You think you can do it?"

I snorted.

"You should be worried about her stealing your spot as my wife," I taunted.

She rolled her eyes. "I can live without cock. I don't want to, but I've been living without it for many seasons, I'm sure I can handle it," she said. "Right now I'm more concerned with the tribe's future."

I raised an eyebrow, stood up, and undid the only thing I was wearing - my loincloth, letting it drop on the floor.

Her nostrils flared, her cheeks became tinted red.

"I- that's not fair," she said.

I grabbed my cock and shook it a little. I was still flaccid, of course.

"Come on now," I said, "you said you could live without it," I spoke, "where's that bravado now?"

"I said I could," Radona said, resolutely, as she began crawling towards me, in the process messing up her diagram drawing, "and I also said I didn't want to... so let's spend our first night as husband and wife the right way..."

"And this," I said, "is why you're called the wisest in the tribe."

"Y-you," she swallowed, "you're damn right!"

And then we fucked. Hard. All night long.

NOTTHISWAY

I'm stressed, I haven't slept much, and I swear I went after every pink squiggly I could find, but if you see another typo, please do inform me, I just don't have the energy to do a proper final once over. I repeat, once more, my lads, look after your hearts, it ain't no joke.
