Update - Exploring Greenwood Manor (Patreon)
Content
tl;dr - There's a new build, a public pre-alpha and more info about the game coming next month.
The manor screen
For my first update post I thought I might show off this little graphic of interacting with the castle/manor screen. Now, if you've already played the pre-alpha you've already seen this in action, but I really wanted to show it off anyway. Making this work was the heart of the original vision of the game, when we set out to develop it.
If you haven't tried the pre-alpha yet, hopefully you're finding this screen suitably impressive! I'm going to put out some dev diaries in the coming months about how we developed it.
Coming up next month
Next month we'll be releasing the current pre-alpha with some bug fixes as a public demo to kind of officially announce the game to the world. Hopefully it'll go down well!
There will also be a new build for patrons, v0.2, featuring:
- The ability to cycle through several days of gameplay, tying the whole thing together a bit more.
- A new version of the Beth sex animation currently in the game, so that now you're going to have to start from scratch with her.
- A new non-animated Beth CG and some story scenes exploring the maid characters a little more (Beth in particular).
- New "holding court" events you can encounter.
- Bug fixes.
- And maybe a little more content, if we have time to put it in.
And the other thing I'll be talking about next month, once we've done the public release, is what you can expect from the game when it's more fully in shape. A little bit about how the gameplay will work, beyond what's already obvious in the pre-alpha.
These updates
Incidentally, at the moment I'm planning to make these updates public and put one out once or twice a month, just to inform you about our progress. For a little while, at least, I'll be splitting progress updates with dev diaries and character introductions, then things will likely settle down a bit. Any behind-the-scenes stuff like lewd sketches and art will be for the higher patron tiers.
What do you think of the manor screen? And does the 0.2 update sound like the kind of progress you're hoping for? Let me know in the comments below!
