With a rough sketch of the illustration I drew for my work titled "Queen's Blade"

It is a line drawing. This time we will unveil the work process up to the line drawing.

At the time of request, I ordered a dragon to be drawn behind me, and the composition was like this.

I always draw up to the line drawing with paper and pencil, and scan the clean copy with a scanner.

Coloring is like working digitally.

First of all, a rough layout.

「Queen's Blade」というタイトルのお仕事で描かせてもらったイラストのラフスケッチと

線画です。今回は線画までの作業工程をお披露目ということで。

依頼の際、後ろに竜を描いて欲しいとの発注でこのような構図になりました。

いつも自分は線画までは紙と鉛筆で描いて、清書したものをスキャナーで取り込んで

色塗りはデジタルで作業といった感じですね。

まずは大まかなレイアウト。

If the layout is okay, we will proceed with the work.

And rough work has progressed.

レイアウトにオッケーが出たら作業を進めていきます。

そして作業が進んだラフ。

If there is no problem with checking here again, it will be a clean copy work.

Draw a clean copy on tracing paper with a pencil.

ここでまたチェックをしてもらって問題なければ清書作業に。

清書はトレーシングペーパーに鉛筆で描きます。

The person in the foreground and the dragon in the back are printed on separate tracing paper.

手前の人物と奥の竜は別々のトレーシングペーパーで清書。

When completed, it will be scanned with a scanner and then digitally painted.

完成したらスキャナで取り込んで後はデジタル作業で色塗りとなります。

People and dragons are on separate layers.

That is easier for correction work and fine adjustment.
