1/4"-20 Attachment for Thingy Mount Now Available! (Patreon)

Hey everyone, 

Here is another attachment for the Thingy Mount that was highly requested, the 1/4"-20.  This attachment prints in 2 pieces, and requires a 1/4"-20 x 1/2" long hex head bolt, and works for most webcams and many other camera and phone attachments.

I have updated the printing instructions in the archives for the Thingy Mount and uploaded the STL's to the drive.  You should be able to find the 1/4" bolt at your local hardware store, but I have also included a link to purchase on McMaster Carr.

As far as other attachments, I'm currently working on getting ahold of a Wyze Cam and hopefully a Mintion cam so I can make those attachments.  Any other cameras that I want to make attachments for I will either have to purchase, or maybe get some help from anyone that owns them with measurements.

One thing I wanted to note: This attachment DOES work for DSLR cameras, but I don't advertise it as such or recommend using it for them because the mount itself is likely not strong enough.  Unless you use one arm instead of two, but even then I wouldn't fully trust it.  

I will be making a beefier version of this entire mount to accommodate larger devices like DSLR's and iPads in the near future, so stay tuned for that!
