Hey everyone!

So I've been wanting to create a set of "deluxe" Easter Eggs for a while now, and a couple weeks ago decided to make it happen!  I had to do a few new things in Blender that I'd never done before, including threads, but after a good bit of playing around this is the result!  The Fancy Easter Eggs.

I've uploaded 3 different Fancy Easter Eggs, and you have the option to print any of them as one single piece, or in 2 hollow pieces that thread together afterwards.  No supports are needed whichever way you choose to print them!

Here is the link to find them in the Archives:

I maaaaay end up making a few more, or  maybe even some with organically sculpted patterns on them if there is enough interest in more variety.  Either way, I hope you enjoy!

As always, thanks so much for the support!

I just printed these and the pattern doesn't like up when screwed together.

Hey Robert, So the pattern should be fine on the first 2 eggs, and I am aware that the pattern doesn't line up on the third egg. Unfortunately I was never able to get the third design to line up properly. I created the design in Blender using some new techniques I had just learned last year, and the method that I used left me little room to make adjustments to the Egg. I actually tweaked and printed that design a couple dozen times trying to get the pattern just right and was never able to, so eventually cut my loses

Love them! Only, i use dual color pla. When i screw them together the colors don’t match. Is there something i did wrong?

From what I understand about dual extrusion PLA i'm not sure how the colors would line up? Unless i'm misunderstanding
