 You may have noticed that I haven't been streaming lately. Well, I had a hardware failure on my computer, then windows screwed me. Here is the rundown.

>Computer has a hardware failure, motherboard and/or CPU damaged and computer cannot run.
>Kinda expensive but sure, I will get new parts to have a more powerful computer.
>Newer hardware doesn't support Windows 7, to be specific Windows 7 doesn't support USB 3.0 and mouse + keyboard doesn't function beyond the new BIOS screen.
>Figured I could upgrade to Windows 10. Old data is backed up into a 'windows.old' directory for 30 days.
>Old data is backed up in windows.old, I proceed to set up my computer without worry. Even extracted my bookmarks for chrome from the backup.
>Check again to move my WIP and commission art from the backup to my new system...
>Windows.old is missing.

Well there you have it folks. While I do backups of my files here and there, I had not recently. All of the work in progress and more recent photoshop files from before my hardware crash are gone. Finished sketches extracted as PNG are still in dropbox/patreon. I used a recovery tool to get back what I could, but it's honestly looking like they are all corrupted at this point. I have no real clue how the backup vanished, I can only assume it was due to some automatic windows update since I never ran a cleanup tool.

If I had sent you photoshop files or WIP sketches for projects, please send them my way so I can archive them and/or continue. WIP commission are probably cancelled unless a WIP extraction/PNG was done at some point.

If you have a WIP commission and would like to inquire if your commission wasn't salvageable, send me a message.

As I am writing this, I am trying to get my drawing tablet working on Windows 10. From there, I need to obtain some new art software so I can pick myself up and continue drawing.

This is utterly horrifying. I'm not even affected and it still sounds physically painful.

Physically, not so much. But it's very hard to deal with knowing that I have lost so many in-progress projects.

Jesus, what a terrible situation to be in, losing all the WIPs

This is exactly why I make redundant back-ups whenever I mess with my system. Still, I'd recommend continuing to poke around until you figure out what happened to the folder. Maybe it's just fucked off somewhere, or otherwise still recoverable. Doesn't look good though.

"Windows 7 doesn't support USB 3.0" You have to use drivers from the manufacturer of the USB hub to make them work, but you can use USB3 on Win7.

Good =)
